Job Title: Clinical Services Associate - PMTCT

Job Description

  • The incumbent will support the PMTCT state lead in providing comprehensive PMTCT services to pregnant and post-partum HIV positive women and their babies, by:
    • Providing technical support to supported facilities in establishing protocols for PMTCT program implementation and allied health services that are consistent with national guidelines
    • Strengthen the leadership and the capacity of the supported facilities in the coordination with all stakeholders to ensure access to quality medical care and PMTCT treatment for HIV mothers and infants and support the integration of PMTCT services into existing Maternal, neonatal and reproductive health services and strengthen the clinical components of Tuberculosis, Malaria and other diseases for maternal and child care.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Degree in Nursing / Midwifery, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics or Public Health equivalent or related fields.
  • At least 2 years' extensive clinical experience in care and treatment of HIV/AIDS patients; knowledge of the policies, regulations, reporting formats, and cultures of principal donors, including USAID, EC, DFID, CDC/PEPFAR etc.

Job Description

  • The incumbent will support the care & support, strategy intervention, management of various models of differentiated care for PLHIV including the linkage of Community ART groups to Microfinance for household empowerment and sustainability.
  • The incumbent will support the management and implementation care and support service delivery packages which include; (Adherence support, to ensure retention in care and treatment for all enrolled clients, Positive Health Dignity and Prevention (PHDP) intervention for adult in care, food and nutrition, Psychosocial support (PSS), supervise the formation and linkage of community ART cluster groups to sources of income in line with the national guidelines.
  • The incumbent will liaise with the prevention and community service team to provide home based care services, bi-directional peer-lead navigation, and psychosocial support in youth wellness centers for retention service. Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Ability

  • Degree in Medicine, Nursing, Public Health, Social Sciences or a related field; Minimum of five years experience in health program management in sub-Saharan Africa;
  • Minimum of 3 years experience working on international health issues including HIV, with at least five years experience working on HIV/AIDS counselling and testing programs in international or resource poor settings.
  • Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills and ability to foresee problems and initiate appropriate action.

Job Title: Gender Integration Assistant

Location: Lokoja, Kogi

Specific Objectives

  • Provide technical assistance to health facilities to ensure provision and documentation of post-gender based violence care in line with the PEPFAR/WHO minimum package.
  • Facilitate needs-based capacity building activities for gender champions both at facility and community levels on gender integration including first-line support and the implementation of a clinical pathway for the treatment of sexual assault survivors
  • Work with health facilities and CBOs to establish and strengthen referral mechanism and linkages between clinical and non-clinical post GBV care service provision; Assist in the monitoring and evaluation of GBV data and program performance, sharing reports on progress on a monthly basis Provide regular supportive supervision to supported health facilities/CBOs to ensure the achievement of expected results; Document successes and lessons learnt that highlight the Project gender integration/equality programming Assist in the development of tools, frameworks and resources to enable better gender integration in the project.
  • Ensure real-time updates of approved training on the training database, Ensure the training participant grid for all participants are updated per training, Collate training reports and ensure electronic versions are appropriately filed and shared with the CO team.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Ability

  • University Degree (or Higher) in Social Sciences (i.e. Sociology, Psychology), Public Health, Child Health, International Development, or in an area relevant to Gender, Health, and HIV/AIDs.
  • At least 2 years post NYSC work experience including at least 2 years implementing gender-based interventions in a similar setting
  • Experience in implementing gender services in the context of HIV and knowledge of CDC minimum package of services for gender-based violence survivors; Demonstrated ability to ensure gender integration in project design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation
  • Evidence of capacity to support the implementation of gender norms re-orientation and links with HIV/ AIDS
  • Excellent conceptual, analytical, writing and oral communication and facilitation skills Team playing qualities/experience

Job Description

  • The Health Informatics Assistants supports the CIHP electronic Data Management processes, Network and deployed Applications, with primary emphasis on Health Project and Internal Application system and report routinely to the Health Informatics Lead.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Assist in the design, adaptation and maintenance of CIHP databases in conjunction with the SI and program staff to match strategic program or implementation changes;
  • Assist in ensuring all relevant program staff can utilize the database to analyze program information and results;
  • Assist with training in use of data management and analysis tools, including, NMRS, CDR, NDR and MS Office products for team members and facility staff;
  • Assist in review of data being collected and fix problems with data entry, integrity and reporting;
  • Assist with the deployment, implementation and use of updated or new databases;
  • Support Electronic Data Entry Clerks in the monitoring of EMR use and NDR uploads;
  • Supervise all EMR processes at assigned facilities including 100% data entry onsite.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar technical discipline or equivalent demonstrable experience.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of information Technology practice;
  • 1-2 years of hands-on technical roles in the field with relevant experience;

Specific Objectives

  • The incumbent will be responsible for the provision of quality assurance/ improvement focused technical assistance and serve as subject matter expertise regarding process improvement initiatives across ART/ TB, PMTCT, care & support and formation and management of various models of differentiated care for PLHIV including the linkage of Community ART groups.
  • The incumbent will be a key member of the state technical team and will plan, manage and implement comprehensive ART service packages which include; (Adherence support, to ensure retention in care and treatment, viral load cascade management, TB case detection amongst PLHIV and basic care and support for age groups and sub populations and support the implementation of the surge strategies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides direct technical assistance to health care facilities supported by the organization in the satellite command will be responsible for coordinating and managing the technical services essential to the functioning and effective implementation of the Adult, Pediatrics, PMTCT/FP and TB/HIV Treatment programs to achieve the surge targets across facilities in the satellite command.
  • Provides technical support in the development, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of activities, strategies and policies around HIV prevention with focus on integrating PMTCT into maternal and child health.

Job Title: Pharmaceutical Services Assistant

Specific Objectives
With technical oversight from the central office technical staff and collaboration with State Program Management, the Pharmaceutical Services Associate shall provide support and share responsibility in the following:

  • Assist in managing the pharmaceutical care aspects of the HIV care and treatment program
  • Assist to develop work plans and activities in concordance with the Government of Nigeria's stipulated guidelines/standards at all healthcare facilities supported by the organization
  • Tracking, monitoring and inventory analysis of all pharmacy stock employing the use of monitoring tools, spreadsheets and data bases.
  • Assist in periodic training of pharmacy, medical, nursing and counseling staff at sites supported by the HIV care and treatment program.
  • Prepare and submit periodic progress reports pharmaceutical and logistics services from the sites supported to implement the HIV care and treatment program.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Ability

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or other relevant field with prior experience in pharmaceutical services delivery and supply chain management.
  • At least 2 years experience in Pharmaceutical service delivery, Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
  • Proficiency in the use of electronic Logistic Management Information System e.g. NAVISION.

Job Title: Strategic Information Assistant

Job Description

  • The incumbent will support routine monthly update of program aggregate data tracking database.
  • S/he will support and assist in the monitoring and evaluation, data collection, and data delivery to the appropriate reporting platform.
  • S/he will participate in and coordinate the timely collection and analysis of all program performance data and success stories.
  • S/he will provide weekly verifiable data quality and ensure all data is input into database platform and analyzed for integrity.
  • S/he will maintain a log of database backup and filing systems.
  • Will be involved in the routine implementation of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Initiatives and support team members in QI interventions including Nigeria Qual and SIMS.
  • Will undertake visits to the field throughout the grant, as needed to support and/ or supervise data collection or verify data quality.
  • Will develop and prepare site reports of project data as required for entry and reporting.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • University Degree in Business, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, Computer science, Public Administration or any related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in reporting position with Local or International NGOs; preferably in Care and treatment. Experience with DHIS, DATIM and RADET reporting a plus.
  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Access required.
  • Experience with data template design, collection and data entry.

Job Title: HTS Assistant

Specific Objectives

  • The incumbent will implement prevention, risk reduction and adherence treatment services for Key Population, managing the unit responsible for identifying and working with Key Population groups to carry out outreaches and work closely with the PSO (HTS) to ensure access to HTS.
  • Ensure behavioral maintenance activities are implemented among the KP groups with responsibility for appropriate implementation of program activities in HIV prevention for key and vulnerable populations, including integration of TB/HIV services for co-infected patients. Lead the formulation of approaches for scale up of key and vulnerable population HIV prevention services.
  • Responsible for developing new/review evidence-based clinical training materials, job aids, and curricula, Supervisory systems and other training materials needed for implementation of the program to meet the needs of USAID and the Government of Nigeria

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Ability

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences, Health Sciences, and Nursing required; Master's in relevant field preferred;
  • At least 2 years experience training community health workers and/or CBOs in HIV interventions for key and vulnerable populations;
  • Experience building capacity at individual and organizational levels; Skilled in at least two or more of the following technical areas: strengthening service delivery programs; Performance and quality improvement, psychosocial support, monitoring and evaluation;
