This is an excellent opportunity to join a small IT team supporting  a user community  of approximately 50 across Lagos. In order to be suitable for this vacancy you must have strong communication skills, a thorough knowledge of Windows environments and have proven experience in supporting networks, users and infrastructures.  This is a contract position and successful candidate will be based in Lagos and covering seven locations and offices across Lagos. Job Title: 
IT Support Officer

 Job Description:

  • installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications;
  • monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks;
  • talking staff/clients through a series of actions, either face to face or over the telephone;
  • troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults;
  • replacing parts as required;
  • providing support, including procedural documentation;
  • following diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system;
  • supporting the roll-out of new applications;
  • setting up new users’ accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues;
  • responding within agreed time limits to call-outs;
  • working continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate);
  • prioritizing and managing many open cases at one time;
  • rapidly establishing a good working relationship with end users and other professionals (e.g., software developers or other external IT Solution partner/provider);
  • testing and evaluating new technology

Education:

  • A minimum of B.Sc or HND in Computer Science or related discipline
  • A thorough and proven experience in most of the task detailed in the job description.
  • Technical certifications such as CCNA and others, a clear advantage
