Action Against Hunger (ACF)-USA is part of the ACF-International Network which works to save lives by combating hunger and diseases that threaten the lives of vulnerable communities, through nutrition, food security, water and sanitation, health and advocacy.
ACF Nigeria is looking for suitable candidates for the following:


Job Position: Safety & Security Manager
Purpose:
Reporting to the Country Director, the SSM provides daily safety and security support to the ACF Mission in Nigeria. Regularly reviews, and amends as necessary, all Nigeria based Safety and Security policies and procedures. Through validation by the Country Director creates and implements new ACF Nigeria Security and Safety policies and procedures as required. Delivers training and capacity building to all ACF Nigeria staff on Security and Safety requirements and procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's level degree in a relevant field.
Certification and advanced training in Security Management.
Experience working in Security management/supervisory role 3+ years, including managing teams.
Strong verbal, ngo jobs in nigeria written and communication skills including effective training and facilitation skills.
Excellent attention to detail, highly organized, rigorous, self-motivated, strong sense of responsibility, ability to work independently.
Capacity for analysis, synthesis and reporting of large amounts of information.
Previous experience working for NGOs or INGOs in Nigeria, especially in the northern Nigerian states, is strongly preferred.
Approachable, diplomatic, able to maintain confidentiality.
Able to work effectively in diverse, cross-cultural teams in a complex, multi-site work environment.
Computer literacy including all Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Power point).
Fluency in English, written and spoken.
Fluency in one or more National/regional languages, particularly Hausa, a strong asset.

Job Position: Communications Officer, Jigawa State (1)
Purpose:
The Communications Officer will play a key role in implementing the Child Development Grant Programme (CDGP) funded by the UK
Department for International Development, a joint project being
implemented by Save the Children UK (SC) and Action Against Hunger (ACF).
From 2013-2017, CDGP will provide 60,000 pregnant women and mothers
with children under two with unconditional cash transfers and nutrition
behaviour change communication training in a bid to contribute to the
eradication of extreme hunger, malnutrition and poverty in Northern
Nigeria.

Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Media/Communication,
Marketing or equivalent. Higher level degree and/or significant
communications expertise preferred; Previous experience with food
security and livelihoods programming, particularly cash based interventions
(i.e. cash for work, cash transfers or cash vouchers); Previous experience
with behaviour change communication programming; Experience in working
with NGO donor (i.e. USAID, ECHO, DFID, CIDA) funded activities; Fluency in
Hausa and English (Compulsory)


Job Position: KAP / IYCF Consultant, Yobe State (1) - SHORT TERM (30 DAYS)
Purpose:
To better address the behaviour that acts as barriers to nutrition
and adequate Water, Sanitation and Hygiene behaviour in the area, a clear
understanding of the current Nutrition, water, sanitation and hygiene
knowledge and related practices is necessary

Qualifications & Skills: 
Master's degree in MPH, Nutrition, social sciences,
statistics or related fields; At least 10 years of relevant professional
experience in data collection and analysis, or WASH related studies and
programmes, with previous working experience in the UN or other
International organizations; Working experience in Northern Nigeria is an
asset; Strong analysis, and good inter-personal communication skills, have
skills on key statistical software such as SPSS, SMART and Microsoft excel. A
professional command of English, both oral and written, good report writing
skills
