Job Position: Logistics & Inventory Superintendent

Job Description

  • To manage at aspects of logistics end inventory to enhance and maintain safe and effective supply chain services for SMC customers by facilitating smooth delivery of all SMC Spare Parts, Tools and Consumables at most advantage financial benefit and at minimal risk.
  • Provides an internal logistics support function, specializing in the provision of warehouse operations, freight, Inventory management and operational buying.
Qualification and Experience
  • Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in Logistics, Inventory & Warehouse Management
  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar position with a machinery supply company Solid knowledge in the fundamental principles of inventory control
  • Advanced computer literacy stores, sales systems, windows office package Proficiency in Business English (written & spoken)
  • Proficiency in the use of AccPac/System 21 + Spreadsheets and
  • Report writing + other MS office software and applications
  • Possession of valid international passport and drivers' license
  • Previous foreign assignment/employment experience and finding satisfaction when working in different cultures.
  • Wide experience in supply chain management, purchasing, logistics and inventory stock control, international shipping, customs clearing, transportation etc
  • Extensive exposure & hands-on experience from milling or construction projects in developing Countries
  • Solid overall knowledge of spare parts general hardware, tools catalogues & H.D machinery etc
Key Duties:
  • Effective leadership of subordinates rind the implementation of performance management and development program for staff
  • Active commitment, participation and compliance to SMCs Environmental, Health and Safety objectives.
  • Translate Customer expectations and historical data into reliable forecasts end accurate inventory planning.
  • Proactively initiate and improvement improvements to warehouses processes and systems, people, tools and support services.
  • Effective implementation, management and control of departmental strategic business plane Inclusive of Financial budgets, sales revenues and expenditures, net working capital & capital growth as well as labour structure and compliment. Spare Parts-Market Area Pricing arid Profitability management.
  • Effective logistics, inventory and supply chain management for SMC-West Africa.
  • Customer relationship development.

Job Position: Sales Officer
Location:

Job Description
  • To help the Business Development department and the company at large in the marketing of Sandvik's products range to gain larger market share in the market segment we operate in Also, help to increase sales especially with focus on Sandvik range of Crushing, Screening, Drifting and Breaking equipment.
Qualification and Experience
  • HND in Business or Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 year sales and marketing of capital equipment in the
  • Construction industry
  • Mechanical experience and or knowledge of crushing equipment and or drilling equipment will be an ended advantage
  • Good knowledge of the market and quarry industry in Nigeria
  • Good customer relation skills, good reporting skits rind must be a team player
  • Excellent computer skills, good English communication skills and a valid driver's licence French language skills will be beneficial.
Key Duties:
  • Develop good working relationship with customers.
  • Give weekly report to Sandvik Construction, Nigeria.
  • Gather relevant information from morning meetings.
  • Tools Consumption, bits, drill pipes, hammers and other consumables as provided by Sandvik Construction.
  • Service Life of tools, bits, hammers, drill pipes and conduct discard analysis.
  • Establish proper regrind intervals
  • Grinding; Ascertain how effective it is and advise
  • Delivery; Monitor how fast tools are delivered to site when needed.
  • Availability, Check stock levels of specified tools
  • Aggressive marketing skills.
  • Maintain and develop the relationship with customers through regular contacts and other specific promotional activities.
  • Know the needs of our customers, maximize their satisfaction, and anticipate their requirements.
  • Identify and develop new business in the area of responsibility.
  • Gather business intelligence with the aim of Developing Customer base and making projection.

Job Position: Service Technician

Job Description
  • Carry out general mechanical and electrical duties including maintenance, repairs and fault diagnosis work On Sandvik Construction heavy-duty trackless equipment whilst maintaining availability and minimizing cost.
Qualification and Experience
  • HND in Mining Engineering/Mechanic.
  • 3-5 years of practical experience from servicing anti repairing of Surface Top Hammer and Down-The-Hole Drills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work as a member of a multi-discipline team and provide guidance to members of the team.
  • Some level of computer literacy would be an advantage.
Key Duties:
  • Preparing and executing equipment maintenance, servicing arid repairing tasks based on customer needs
  • Independently and cost effectively evaluate, troubleshoot end repair the customer's equipment
  • Commissioning new equipment, Introducing customers to equipment technology and application
  • Customer training to ensure safe and efficient use of the equipment and optimized performance for site conditions.
  • Contact for Customers Supervising in technical questions
  • Active communication with customers to define needs: describe and offer solutions for customer decision makers
  • Reporting on maintenance and servicing work, processing feedback Communicating customer needs in own organization to ensure further customer services anti equipment sales actions
  • Considering and taking actions with environmental anti safety aspects.

Job Position: Tools & Consumables Sales Support
Location:

Job Description
  • Sales and technical support of the Sandvik related rock tools and crushing and screening wear offering to the construction customer base.
Qualification and Experience
  • Degree in Mining or Mechanical Engineer or trade background with equivalent technical knowledge, service, account management and associated product sales experience.
    Minimum of 5 years' experience in the field of rock tools, crushing and screening exposure.
Key Duties:
  • Optimise sales and profitability of relevant rock tools and crusher wear items product offering to the construction market,
  • Training and coaching of relevant internal & customer personnel in these product tines
  • Work closely With service and training personnel to optimise knowledge across departments including logistics to ensure effective forecasting of rock tools and wear items
  • Liaise with the factories to stay ahead of product development, as well as knowledge transfer back to the factories of market requirements and trends, and marketing teams as well as the aftermarket team to optimise sales opportunities,
  • Effective coaching and training of dealer personnel responsible for growing the Sandvik offering in WestAfrica, Others.
  • Highly motivated to work alone With very strong customer relationship aptitude
  • Computer literate.
