Job Title: Head, Port Harcourt Practice
Location: Lagos
Job Description

  • Candidates that are currently living and working in Port Harcourt preferred.
  • A good all-rounder, with interest in both contentious and non-contentious matters.
  • Good understanding of the workings of the Superior Courts in Rivers State and neighboring states.
  • Well-developed relationships with key government agencies in Rivers State.
  • Proactive self starter with ability to work with significant autonomy, and supervise junior lawyers/support staff.
  • Demonstrable experience in, and a talent for business development
  • Entrepreneurial with capacity to grow a practice from the bottom up.
  • Good understanding of the legal and regulatory framework for the Nigerian oil and gas Industry.

  • Significant experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiation of the customary finance and security documents, both from the perspective of the lender and the borrower.
