applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following
academic staff vacant positions in the University.
1.) Senior Lecturer position in the following disciplines
- Agricultural Engineering
- Biochemistry
- Computer Science
- Home and Rural Economics
- Horticulture
- Statistics
2.) Lecturer I position in the following disciplines
- Agricultural Engineering
- Fishery
3.) Principal Instructor II in the following disciplines
A. Qualifications Required for the Post of Senior Lecturer on Salary Scale COMPCASS 13
- Candidates are required to possess a Masters Degree or
equivalent in the relevant field from a recognized University plus at
least 9 years on-the-job cognate experience, with proven ability for
applied research and production work.
- Such candidate must have at least published a total of 6 Journals and 8 conference/seminar papers.
- Alternatively, the candidates may possess a Doctorate Degree in
the relevant field from a recognized University with at least 6 years of
relevant teaching/research experience.
- Such candidate must have at least published a total of 6 Journals and 8 conference/seminar papers.
- In addition to the above requirements, the candidates should
have the ability to initiate/continue and supervise approved research
project(s)/exhibition and show evidence of academic and administrative
leadership as well as community service.
B. Qualifications required for the Post of Lecturer I on Salary Scale COMPCASS 11
- Candidates are required to possess a good Honors degree (at
least Lower Class) or equivalent recognized professional
qualification(s) in relevant field, with at least 9 years
teaching/research/industrial experience.
- Such candidate must have at least published a total of 3 Journals and 6 conference/seminar papers.
- Alternatively, the candidates may possess a Masters Degree or
equivalent in relevant field from a recognized institution plus at least
6 years of teaching and research in an institution of high learning.
- Such candidate must have at least published a total of 3 Journals and 5 conference/seminar papers.
- Also a holder of a Doctorate Degree in the relevant field(s)
from a recognized institution of higher learning with at least 3 years
of relevant teaching/research experience is qualified to apply.
- Such candidate must have at least published a total of 3 Journals and 5 conference/seminar papers.
- In addition to the above requirements, the candidates should
have the ability to initiate/continue and supervise approved research
project(s)/exhibition and show evidence of academic and administrative
leadership as well as community service.
C. Qualifications required for the post of Principal Instructor II on Salary Scale COMPCASS 09
- Candidates are required to possess a good Higher National
Diploma (at least a Lower Credit) or equivalent qualification(s) in a
related field from a recognized institution with at least six (6) years
cognate experience in teaching or industry.
- Such candidates must have at least published one (1) academic
article in a Journal/Magazine/Bulletin and at least two (2)
conference/seminar papers or two (2) practical projects.
