Job Description

  • Directly work with customers to secure new business relationships, through referrals and different Sales Channels, via the analyses of their needs and provision of CC products and services.
  • Grow share of Clients portfolio size by deepening existing Clients’ relationships
  • Analyses and reviews quality of potential business to ensure maximum profitability.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all actual and attempted customer interactions.
  • Liaise and provide leadership in areas of expertise, particularly in the provision of products and services to customers after identification of their needs.
  • May be requested to co-ordinate Country or Regional initiatives within CC team.
  • Provide feedback to Senior Management, Marketing and Product management on customers' needs and the efficiency of marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Responsible for delivering a service to customers that matches the Bank's brand promise of being ‘The Right Partner’.
  • Operate within Risk & Compliance requirements/framework
KYC/AML Clause:
  • Ensure you remain alert to the risk of money laundering and assist in the Bank's efforts in combating it by adhering to the key principles in relation to:
    • Identifying your customer, knowing your customer, reporting suspicions, safeguarding records and not disclosing suspicions to customers.
Internal:
  • Marketing on new and continuing initiatives
  • Head, ME Segment on issues to CC customers
  • Branch departmental and T&O Managers and staff for CC customers' account opening, servicing and administration
  • Product Development and Analytics - product review, development, implementation and analytics

Job Title: Product Sales Manager

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the delivery of assigned Transaction Banking (TB) revenues from a Commercial Clients assigned portfolio in Nigeria.
  • Execute to the sales strategy and deliver the revenue ambition through a portfolio of existing and target list of companies in Nigeria.
  • Increase client penetration and revenues for the bank by actively promoting the bank’s network and product capabilities (cross selling) within assigned portfolio.
  • Leverage group sales tools and techniques to identify opportunities for new / incremental business; client planning, client maps, working capital analyzers, CRM and pipeline management to achieve sales/revenue targets.
  • Maintain a detailed and up-to-date knowledge of the bank’s comprehensive products capabilities and their application to clients needs, and use this knowledge in structuring of solutions.
  • Ensure smooth interaction and communication with Solution Delivery, Product Management, and relationship teams within the overall team.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Ideally graduate/post graduate or equivalent academic qualifications
  • Ideally should have over 4 years experience in Commercial Banking with over 2 years of client solutioning and sales experience in the Africa Region.
  • Solid and proven frontline transactional sales experience across Working Capital, Trade Finance (documentary trade products, i.e. Letter of Credits, bonds & guarantees; bank & country risk products), Supply Chain Financing & Cash Management (global/ regional/ local payment, receipts and liquidity management structures, system infrastructure, etc)
  • Language skills: English, both written and oral; additional languages preferred
  • Skills for analyzing and formatting data provided by Finance and other sources.
  • Proven treasury, credit and country risk exposure
  • Open minded, good listener, flexible with ‘think out of the box mentality
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills; ability to communicate with all levels in an organization
  • Disciplined approach to deal execution/ client follow-up
  • Team player
  • Should be well versed with knowledge of the Banking Policies, Standards, local regulations and legislations

Job Description

Local Product Manager for Commercial Clients:

  • Responsible to drive P & L and Balance sheet components for Cash & Trade products in the Commercial clients segment.
  • Act as the Product expert for Transaction Banking Products within Commercial clients segment.
  • Deploy existing, new and/or enhanced products to CC segments to grow TB revenues.
  • Articulate and Implement the Product Agenda and Strategy for Commercial Clients.
  • Drive effective Compliance and Operational Risk Management and Controls at Commercial Clients level to meet all regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Improve the Bench strength through periodic trainings of segment staff and relevant stakeholders.
  • Promote Thought Leadership

Product & Service Delivery:
  • Have oversight and ownership on end-to-end (standard) process to ensure execution of on-boarding for clients and fulfillment of products through engagement with relevant stakeholders involved in executing the standard process to ensure we deliver a seamless client CVP
  • Complaints & Client Experience: Collaborate closely with the CEPG teams to Identify gaps and design failures in existing process and products and work with regional and country product teams to solve for endemic design issues to improve overall product and Service delivery.
Product Launches & Product Maintenance:
  • Execute the global Product standardization and Product rationalization agenda across Lending Products
  • Work with segment and frontline teams to identify client needs and launch existing global product solutions to meet these needs.
  • In the absence of existing global solutions work with the regional team to have the relevant proposition developed as a global solution for implementation.
Governance:
  • Manage compliance of PPGs & CADs.
  • Ensure compliance to Group & Country AML and CDD policies.
