We are recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Lagos

Qualification/ Work Experience

  • First Degree in business related discipline
  • Master’s Degree (preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years post qualification experience in similar capacity in similar industry
Core Function:
  • To develop and market the product and services of the organisation.
  • To grow the client database of the organisation by ensuring client satisfaction and retention
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement and oversee strategic marketing plan for the organisation;
  • Carry our periodic product development, review and redesign aimed at increasing financial performance and market share of the organisation;
  • Initiating and developing new businesses;
  • Prepare performance review on activities of team members;
  • Organise monthly product training for team members;
  • Ensure the achievement of targets set;
  • Prepare performance contract for team members in consultation with the HR department;
  • Provide on the job training for team members and support for achievement of target set;
  • Carry out period performance appraisals of team members in consultation with the HR department;
  • Carry out recruitment activities in conjunction with the HR department;
  • Ensure implementation of all HR policies in conjunction with the HR department;
  • Client segmentation and profiling to ensure more efficient marketing activities;
  • Develop and implement client relationship management strategy for the organisation;
  • Ensure client satisfaction and client retention;
  • Provide weekly report on activities of the team and results achieved to the management team;
  • Prepare monthly report on department activities and achievement to the CEO;
  • Protect brand cohesion by reviewing, filtering and editing all communication and marketing materials and proposals of the organisation;
  • Engage in market research to identify areas of competitive advantage for the organisation;
  • Identify and develop strategic partnership aimed at increasing number of clients;
  • Develop and prepare presentation and proposals on products to clients;
  • Prepare periodic industry analysis for the management of the organisation;
  • Prepare and present competitor analysis to the management of the organisation;
Competencies
  • Highly proficient in the use of standard software packages (Microsoft Office Tools) to carry out job responsibilities;
  • Must possess basic understanding of systems terminology and concepts related to hardware, software and network configuration
