Job Title: Executive Secretary
Location:
Lagos
Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership, as well as direct and manage day to day activities of the organization in line with the constitution of the society Execute and manage the strategies for the realisation of the mission and vision of the society
  • Provide direction for development and implementation of long -term plans, including providing vision for and directing the management team Oversee the affairs of the society at the Zonal & Branch levels through the established structures;
  • Shall be the chief operating and accounting officer of the secretariat Relate effectively with government, NGOs other religious bodies at the local and international levels
  • Monitor the subsidiaries/affiliates of the society with a view to ensuring that they contribute their quota to the society.
  • Monitor and update the website of the society to world standard.
  • Relate with all the organs of the society
  • Manage the staff and the secretariat of the society to achieve the desire result
Requirements
  • A good university Degree in the Arts/Humanities, Social sciences or Law (with minimum grade of Second class)
  • A higher Degree will be an added advantage
  • Minimum of 10 years post NYSC experience in the management of NGO or Public Corporation
  • A good knowledge of Islam, Islamic ethics, culture and contemporary issues
  • Must be within age bracket of 45 and 60

Job Title: Legal Officer
Location:
Lagos
Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for legal opinion for the organisation across states and regional offices. To identify own, and mitigate commercial risks arising from proposed real estate transaction through provision of creative commercial! legal solutions.
  • To serve as counsel in supporting internal functions in liaising with organisation's external solicitors in terms of filing of legal briefs and to be acquainted with relevant facts preceding any matter of contention in court.
  • To have a good understanding of the principles of legal issues relating to corporate governance under Part C of the Companies and Allied Matters with the ability to recognize when and who to escalate issues to and who to engage for specialist advice.
  • To provide legal advice and guidance regarding all aspects of the orations,policies, and practices of the organisation.
  • Required to aid decision making by the organisation's officers by the identification, analysis and assessment of legal risks and the provision of legal guidance, advice and opinions to relevant departments in order to guide their transactions and dealings with third parties, government institutions and regulators.
  • Draft and negotiate the organisation's high volume land acquisition contracts and commercial agreements, such as gifts, pledges, mortgages, confidentiality, assignments and Lease Agreements.
  • Work closely with and report to the Legal Secretary to assist in negotiations, to draft, summarize and communicate legal concepts, and to advise officers on understanding legal contexts, complex agreement structures, issues and risks, approval processes and procedures.
Requirements
  • Must be a qualified Legal Practitioner
  • Must have the ability to work with little supervision
  • Must be able to work under pressure
  • Must possess 3-5 years post call experience
  • Must have worked with a reputable law firm with a bias in litigation and commercial practice
