Job Title:   Senior Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer

 
Purpose/Role
  • To act as the on–site Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer in order to allow installation and completion of all Electrical and Instrumentation prior to sail-away of the OFON platforms
  • To work under the auspices of the Lead Electrical and Systems Completion Engineer
Key Aims and Objectives
  • Lead the installation and completion of all electrical and instrumentation equipment.
Prime Responsibilities and Duties
To carry out, or supervise the following work:
  • Site support to carry out final installation of supports and cable tray
  • Receipt inspection of all instrumentation
  • The installation of instruments, consoles and power system
  • Address site issues with respect to wiring diagrams, schematics, TAG duplication,
  • routing of cable and tubing, installation of controls and electrical equipment
  • The installation of all remaining instrumentation and controls equipment
  • The installation of cable wiring, internal panel wiring and junction boxes.
  • Loop checking
  • Assist QA/QC in the close-out of documentation
  • The installation of instrument control lines, their test and function
  • Electrical & Instrumentation red-line mark-ups
  • Input to systems completions database
  • Interface with subcontractor to carry out all DCS checks of all instrumentation and equipment, associated wiring and safe system valves
  • The sign off for the completed safe system up to hook-up battery limits
  • The revision of all block diagrams, wiring diagrams, schedules and schematics as part of the as-building process
  • Revision of test and system completion work packs
  • Revision of hook-up electrical and instrumentation work packs
  • Production of as-built documentation
  • Update of systems completion database
Other Duties:
  • Interface with subcontractors
  • Liaise with materials department
  • Liaise/Interface with Company Commissioning Team
Reports:
  • Daily Report
Key Internal Interfaces:
  • Construction, project control, material control and engineering
Key External Interfaces:
  • Subcontractors and Company
Job Requirements
The Person:
  • Qualified in Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering
  • Experience in Oil & Gas and Process
  • Self-motivated
  • Able to work on his own initiative
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Good communication skills



Job Title:   Lead Electrical & Systems Completion Engineer

 
Purpose/Role
  • To act as the on–site Lead Electrical and Systems Completion Engineer in order to allow installation and completion of all Electrical Instrumentation and Mechanical Systems prior to sail-away of the OFON platforms
Key Aims and Objectives
  • Lead the installation and completion and sign-off of all electrical, instrumentation and mechanical systems
Prime Responsibilities and Duties
  • Oversee final installation of supports and cable tray and any remedial work required
  • Supervise the installation of instruments, consoles and power system
  • Address site issues with respect to wiring diagrams, schematics, TAG duplication,
  • the routing of cable and tubing, installation of controls and electrical equipment
  • Oversee the installation of all remaining instrumentation and controls equipment
  • Oversee the installation of cable wiring, internal panel wiring and junction boxes.
  • Oversee loop checking
  • Oversee the installation of instrument control lines, their test and function
  • Oversee red-line mark-ups
  • Oversee DCS checks of all instrumentation and equipment associated wiring and safe system valves
  • Lead the sign off for the completed safe system up to hook-up battery limits
  • Lead the completion and sign-off of all other electrical, control and mechanical systems
  • Oversee the revision of all block diagrams, wiring diagrams and schematics as part of the as-building process
  • Oversee the update of the systems completion database
  • Interface with QA/QC
Other Duties:
  • Interface with subcontractors
  • Liaise with materials department to assure the accuracy of the hook-up manifest
  • Liaise with materials department for the issuing of instrumentation, cable, markers, glands and equipment, etc.
  • Identify any material shortages
  • Liaise/Interface with Company Commissioning team
Reports:
  • Daily and Weekly reports to project/construction
Key Internal Interfaces:
  • Construction /project/material control/engineering
Key External Interfaces:
  • Subcontractors and Company
Job Requirements
The Person:
  • Knowledge of maintenance of the plant.
  • Worked as Electrical and Systems Engineer
  • Experience of carrying out Electrical and Systems Completion Work for the Oil & Gas/Process Industry
  • Good communicator.
  • Is able to work under his/her own initiative and as a Team Leader.
  • Willingness to undertake new tasks



Job Title:  Assistant - Production

 
Purpose/Role
  • To be a team player in the corrosion protection treatment process of fabricated structural steel structures and associated items.
Key aims and objectives:
  • To apply your work skills in a manner which enables the Coating Department to deliver defect free products, which conforms to customers, supplied specifications and Project working procedures.
  • To assist the department in achieving this objective at the first attempt, within the time allowed and at each subsequent attempt.
Prime Responsibilities
  • To carry out instructions from your superiors in a safe manner at all times.
  • Assuming responsibilities of completing all tasks assigned to you in a safe manner and in accordance with the relevant project and/or Nigerdock supplied working procedures.
  • To carry out any required task relating to the delivery of Blasted and/or Painted items, including but not limited to washing, cleaning, loading of grit/pot operator duties, stripe coating, housekeeping, equipment maintenance etc.
  • To inform your superiors immediately if you are not capable of carrying out specific tasks due to poor health or lack of knowledge.
  • You are expected to be prepared to learn all the trades in the department, including but not limited to Blasting, Spray Painting, paint mixing, quality control etc.
  • You may from time to time be expected to carry out duties not associated with your normal scope of work.
  • To conduct yourself in a manner that satisfies the purpose of your employment at Nigerdock.
  • Your daily rate of production will be satisfactory and in line with acceptable industry norms.
  • As part of the production team you will always be held fully responsible for the quality of your own work and you will inspect your own work for conformance.
  • To always ensure the equipment you use is cleaned properly and to report faulty equipment immediately  to your superiors.
  • To ensure that you are aware of the hazards pertaining to the tasks you are performing and ensuring that you always wear suitable PPE and use suitable equipment and consumables.
  • To act in a responsible manner and plan your working day according to instructions given to you by your superiors, ensuring that in a reasonable time allocation, you collect all PPE and equipment necessary to perform your tasks prior to you moving to the work site.
Other duties:
  • When not performing your primary function as a Production Assistant, you are expected to take part in any other activities associated with the functioning of the department.
