The Health Communication Capacity Collaborative (HC3) supports the US President's Malaria Initiative's (PMI) goal of significantly reducing deaths from malaria in high burden African countries. Social and behavior change communication (SBCC) activities ensure Nigerians are aware of,
understand, and play their part in the national goal of malaria elimination. HC3 Nigeria is working with the National Malaria Elimination Program (NMEP) and partnering organizations to ensure SBCC activities achieve scale and intensity throughout the country. With over 177 million people to reach, Nigeria is the most populous country in Africa. Interventions introduced have to achieve impact with a combination of wide reach and intense interpersonal communication activity.

Job Title: Administrative Assistant, USAID H3C Nigeria Project Funded by PMI

Location:
Nigeria
Supervision: Administrative and Human Resources Officer will supervise the administrative assistant

Summary

  • The Administrative Assistant for the USAID HC3 Nigeria Malaria Project funded by PMI is responsible for providing office support by assisting with administrative systems, logistics and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following, other duties may be assigned:
  • Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories.
  • Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Carry out clerical functions such as field telephone calls, copying and collating, and opening, sorting, and distributing incoming faxes and mail.
  • Arrange meetings and other gatherings.
  • Collect quotations for supplies and services
  • Accompany HC3 staff to conferences, trainings, and meetings both on and off HC3 Nigeria premises to assist with logistics.
  • Make travel and accommodation arrangements.
  • General coordination and support to HC3 Nigeria personnel.
Administrative Assistant Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong spoken and written English skills
  • Fluency in Hausa and one other local language preferred
  • High level administrative writing skills
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office -Excel and Word
  • Professional and organized
  • Experienced in Supply management and inventory control
  • Excellent verbal communication
  • Internet research abilities
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently


Job Title: Receptionist, USAID H3C Nigeria Project Funded by PMI

Location:
Nigeria
Supervision: Administrative and Human Resources Officer will supervise the Receptionist

Summary
  • The Receptionist for HC3 Nigeria is responsible for greeting, welcoming, and directing visitors appropriately; notifying project personnel of visitor arrival; setting up conferences and meetings and assisting with office logistics as needed..
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following, other duties may be assigned:
  • Welcome visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answer or refer inquiries.
  • Direct visitors by maintaining an employee directory; give instructions.
  • Maintain security by following procedures by monitoring the guest
  • logbook and issuing visitor badges.
  • Answer and forward phone calls as needed.
  • Maintain safe and clean reception area.
Administrative Assistant Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong verbal communication skills Microsoft Office skills in Word and Excel
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively
  • Fluency in written and spoken English required.
  • Written and spoken fluency in at least one Nigerian language required.
