Job Title: Procurement manager

Location:
Lagos, Nigeria

Job Description

  • Responsible for all purchasing activities for EPC Projects & Marine vessels
  • Lead procurement team in execution of Procurement Plan
  • Ensure that all purchasing activities are carried out in accordance to the organization's purchasing guidelines and procedures.
  • To establish framework agreements with suppliers and ensure relevant goods and services are purchased under such agreements whenever possible.
  • Source, identify and purchase technical and operational supplies at the right quality and competitive price.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to deliver best results for the company / project.
  • Supervises, controls and expedites all activities of Procurement Department until Completion of Project
  • Monitoring and auditing compliance with project management standards, policies, procedures and templates
  • Oversee and ensure that all invoices are correctly matched to PO and DO.
  • Oversee and ensure that all invoices are approved by the relevant person and passed to accounts in a timely manner.
  • Provide QC/QA with information related to supplier performance and scheduled inspections
  • Assist Logistics with the planning, scheduling and shipping of purchased items.
  • Provide suggestions/feedbacks for the improvement of the execution of tasks and working instructions.
  • Undertake any ad-hoc duties/responsibilities as and when required.
  • Tracking and controlling Procurement cost against the project budget to avoid cost over runs, to check on operational cost values reports, project forecasts and supply chain costs and liabilities
  • To assist other business units within the Group in the region in their purchasing efforts and adherence to purchasing procedures.
  • Ensure that proper cost/benefits evaluations are made prior to bringing forward any recommendations.
  • To oversee the entire purchasing documentation process and ensure quarterly cost reports are submitted.
Skills & Experience:
  • Must have handled Procurement of 5-6 EPC Projects in Oil & Gas sector (Preferably Offshore)
  • Minimum BE/B.Tech in Engineering
  • Extensive years of Experience in Supply Chain Management.
