Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria (ARCN) - Applications are

Agricultural Research council of Nigeria (ARCN):
Job Title: Executive Director, National Horticultural Research Institute (NIHORT)
Location: Ibadan
Description/Summary
The Institute has national mandate for research into genetic
improvement, production and processing of fruits, vegetables and
ornamental plants;
Duities
- The Executive Director is the Research/Academic and
Administrative Head of the Institute/College and therefore responsible
for the academic and administrative management and leadership of the
Institute/College.
Qualifications
- Candidates must be holders of PhD in relevant discipline, have
extensive research and teaching experience as evidenced by scientific
publications with a minimum of Ten (10) years cognate experience in a
Research Organization or College of Agriculture.
- In addition, candidates must have ability to provide
academic/administrative leadership and also have clear and articulated
vision for the development of the Institute/College.
- Being a Director of Research or Chief Lecturer in an
Agricultural Research Institute or College of Agriculture will be an
added advantage.
- Furthermore, he/she must not be more than 60 years of age as at the possible time of commencement of tenure.
Job Title: Executive Director, National Institute for Freshwater Fisheries Research (NIFFR)
Location: New Bussa, Niger
Description/Summary
The Institute has national mandate for research, development, and
production of freshwater fish species, aquaculture and research into
long-term effects of manmade lakes on ecology and environment in
Nigeria.
Duities
- The Executive Director is the Research/Academic and
Administrative Head of the Institute/College and therefore responsible
for the academic and administrative management and leadership of the
Institute/College.
Qualifications
- Candidates must be holders of PhD in relevant discipline, have
extensive research and teaching experience as evidenced by scientific
publications with a minimum of Ten (10) years cognate experience in a
Research Organization or College of Agriculture.
- In addition, candidates must have ability to provide
academic/administrative leadership and also have clear and articulated
vision for the development of the Institute/College.

Location: Baga, Borno
Description/Summary
The College has mandate to train middle level manpower at Vocational,
Certificate, National and Higher National Diploma levels in fisheries
production, aquaculture, nutrition, agricultural extension and
management.
Duties
- The Provost is the Research/Academic and Administrative Head of
the Institute/College and therefore responsible for the academic and
administrative management and leadership of the Institute/College.

- Candidates must be holders of PhD in relevant discipline, have

Political office holders salary scale.
