Job Description

  • Entity forward planning
  • Policy decision making
  • Ensuring compliance with government regulations and health and safety standards
  • Keeping an up-to-date knowledge of pests and diseases
  • Ensuring that the farm is profitable and meets projected financial targets
  • Organising maintenance/repair of farm property, equipment and machinery
  • Advertising and marketing farm products
  • Dealing with emergencies in unsocial hours during busy periods (eg during harvesting or lambing) .
  • Budgeting and maintaining accurate financial records
  • Organising sales and purchases of livestock, farm equipment, crops and agricultural products
  • Handling paperwork and keeping administrative records
  • Recruiting, training/instructing and supervising farm workers
  • Making sure that work progresses satisfactorily
Qualifications
  • Interested Candidate must possess at least a second class upper in any Agricultural related field;
  • Must be between the age range 28-50 years.
  • Must be good looking
  • Must possess inter-personal relationship and good monitoring skills
  • Must be ready to travel among different farm lands.
  • Must have not least than three (3) years field experience in similar position with a reputable farm.
  • Must be computer literate and have valid driving license.



Job Title: Administrative Manager (Water Factory)

Job Description

  • Monitoring and adjusting the operation of water system pumps, motors and other equipment.
  • Accurately reading gauges, dials and other instruments that depict and/or record data.
  • Servicing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of water system equipment, including pumps, valves, motors, filters and meters.
  • Inspecting water system equipment and facilities to locate needed repairs, and making repairs to various water system equipment as required.
  • Inspecting and maintaining water and water distribution systems.
  • Keeping records and responsible for preparing necessary reports, which includes logs and computer files.
  • Collecting samples and assisting in conducting a variety of chemical and physical tests.
  • Recommending Water Department policies and fees.
  • Overseeing and performing general plant maintenance work.
  • Scheduling the water meter routes, inspection, and system maintenance.
  • Assigning shifts, work weeks, holiday coverage, etc.
  • Providing ongoing safety and injury prevention program.
  • Directing water systems operations.
  • Preparing performance evaluations of water operators.
  • Assisting in the preparation of annual Water Department budget.
  • Assisting in disaster preparedness.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.
Desirable Skills, Knowledge And Abilities
Knowledge of:
  • Principles and practices of water system treatment and water distribution operations.
  • Operating principles of valves, pumps, motors, and various types of electrical and electronic equipment.
  • Safe work practices.
  • The appropriate use of hand and power tools used in the maintenance and repair of all water system(s).
  • Principles of supervision, training and employee development.
Ability to:
  • Read and interpret gauges and other recording devices reflecting water system(s) operations.
  • Perform various laboratory tests and document the results of same.
  • Diagnose operating problems and take effective course of action.
  • Read water meter routes.
  • Inspect, service and replace meters, fittings, and meter boxes.
  • Understand and carry out oral and written directions.
  • Supervise the operation, repair, maintenance and improvement of water system facilities.
  • Work cooperatively with others.
  • Keep records and maintain reports.
  • Supervise and train others in the procedures of water system operations.
  • Assists in the ongoing safety and injury prevention program.
  • Operate Windows Based P.C. with knowledge of MSWord, Excel, Outlook, as well as Windows Based Data retrieval.
Qualifications
  • Interested Candidate must possess at least a second class upper in Science Laboratory and other related fields;
  • Any combination of training and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities
  • Must Possess any recognized certificate in water treatement technology
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must be good looking
  • Must possess inter-personal relationship and good monitoring skills
