Job Title: Interim Factory Manager
Location:

Purpose of the Position

  • Develop, implement and review standards of operating practices that will ensure consistent delivery of desired results for product, process and people within a Packing Operation and Environment.
  • A focus on continuous improvement of practises is expected, considering end to end processes (rather than a more narrow production focus).
  • Building and maintaining relationships in line with our client’s ethical standards.
Key Success Factors
  • Continuous learning from other plants to contribute to a strong, strategic 5 year plan
  • Manage planning and production processes to deliver current quality, cost and time targets as well as building for the future
  • Ongoing Maintenance Planning and Implementation of Plant Assets and Equipment
  • Efficient management of internal and external partners in a strongly matrixed environment. Consistent achievement of Company Standards for Product Quality
  • Development of People Resource for Extra-ordinary Results
Key Performance Indicators:
  • Achieve yearly targets on quality, line utilization and cost, in line with Thai & Swiss plants
  • Achieve flat/improved cost of goods YoY
  • Achieve OEE >80%
  • Develop and retain talent as well as build strong succession plan
  • Proactive balancing between plans, market needs, production efficiency to minimize underutilization and waste
Authorities:
  • Develop and Implement SOP’s in line with Key Success Factors
  • Recruit and Dismiss Direct Staff in line with plant’s policies and procedures
  • Daily Management Control of Operations
  • Development of Annual Budgets and Targets in line with Company Direction
Experience and Skills
Production and Processing:
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
Communication:
  • Ability to adjust their style to different audiences and cultures
  • Active listening
  • Ability to create logical, comprehensive messages; transforming data into messages
Problem Solving & Critical Thinking:
  • Analysis of problems and ability to get to root causes
  • Ability to develop and evaluate problem solving scenarios & risk
Quality:
  • Understanding and ability to build quality processes and control methodology to manage packaging, raw materials and finished goods
Technical:
  • Ability to build and manage technical and regulatory specifications
Change Management:
  • Ability to see opportunities, formulate a plan to move to a new status and bring others along
  • Project Management
Team Work:
  • Ability to involve stakeholders proactively in decision making
  • Ability to motivate and execute through others in a matrix
  • Ability to develop teams
  • Ability to build alliances to manage resources, knowledge , as well as build aligned procurement plans and manage timely execution
