A vibrant Academic Research Institute, invite applications from qualified candidates to fill the position below: Job Title: Data Analyst Location: Kano Employment Type: Full-Time Expected Start Date: June-July, 2017 Description Investigators affiliated with the institute conduct mainly social and behavioural research on a range of topics in health and development. Research projects are usually exciting and innovative and make use of cutting-edge methods including randomized controlled trials. Studies are typically funded by external funders and include investigators based in overseas institutions Responsibilities

  • This individual will be responsible for management and processing of survey data.
  • He/she should also be able to carry out descriptive and basic regression analysis.
Requirements The ideal candidate should:
  • Have a Master's Degree in Bio-statistics, Economics, Epidemiology, or other related field
  • Have demonstrable experience working with Stata, SAS. or other statistical software
  • Have experience with ODK programming
  • Have at least 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Have an analytical mind and be comfortable working with data
Remuneration

  • This individual will be responsible for the day-to-day management of research projects working closely with study investigators.
  • He/she will he responsible for implementing study protocols and managing field staff as required.
  • The position will involve a fair amount of travel.
Requirements The ideal candidate should:
  • Have a Master's Degree in Public Health, Economics, Demography, or other related field
  • Have at least 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Have demonstrable experience managing and supervising teams
  • Be exceptionally well organized, a good planner and detail-oriented
  • Be a motivated self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Be able to speak Hausa
  • Experience with Stata is a plus
