Proportion Construction & Dredge Works Nigeria Limited - An indigenous construction company, is seeking experienced professionals to urgently fill the vacant position below: Job Title: Project Manager - Commercial Location: Nigeria Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing the detailed schedules for the Engineering, Procurement and Construction phases of the project, including preparation and maintenance of Site "look ahead" Plans from the main Project Primavera P3 and Microsoft Project planning tools utilizing Microsoft ExceI.
  • Interrogate interdisciplinary schedule requirements and restraints to ensure logical work sequences across all disciplines of the project.
  • Responsible for preparing Schedules, Graphs, Bar Charts, Progress Curves and Spread Sheet Reports for regular site-based reports and progress reviews for the Project Controls Manager and Delivery Project Managers as requested.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering. COREN certified.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in road and bridges construction
  • More than 5 years in planning knowledge and experience with Primavera, MS Project
  • Experience in site installation activities related to the civil engineering industry is desirable, must be well organized, good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to foresee potential problems and to avoid them by preplanning
Job Title: Chief Quantity Surveyor Location: Nigeria Duties and Responsibilities
  • Price/forecast the cost of the different materials needed for Projects.
  • Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, Bills of Quantities and other documentation.
  • Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly
  • Procure or agree the services of contractors and/or subcontractors who work on the construction of the Projects.
  • Liaise with the client and other construction professionals, such as Site Managers, Project Managers and Site Engineers.
  • Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client.
Job Requirements
  • A good University Degree or its equivalent in Quantity Survey
  • At least 7 years post-qualification of proven work experience as a Quantity Surveyor in road and bridges construction
  • Must be a Member of Institute of Quantity Surveyors
  • Must possess a practical and logical mind and a methodical way of thinking.
Job Title: Human Resources Manager Location: Nigeria Requirements
  • Must have a minimum of BSc. Degree in any of the Social Sciences.
  • Must have a minimum of 7-10 years in Human Resources practice
  • Must be a registered member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CLPMN)
  • Must be conversant with Nigerian Labor Laws.
  • Must be capable of providing the strategic interface between HR and designated departments to embed a strategic approach to human resource development and management that results in more effective front line delivery.
  • Will be expected to support and challenge managers in the application of HR policies and practices as well as provide advice and guidance on complex HR issues in order to minimise risk.
  • Must be able to coordinate performance management by liaising with other departmental/sectional heads for the purpose of staff assessment
  • Must be able to ensure the provision and development of adequately motivated personnel for the achievement of Company’s goals.
Job Title: Internal Control Manager Location: Nigeria Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for implementing, directing and overseeing the auditing and compliance programs.
  • Conducts and directs audits and ongoing reviews of organization controls, operating procedures, and compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Reviews and appraises the soundness effectiveness and proper application of accounting and financial controls compliance procedures and controls and timeliness of documentation generation.
  • Assesses the adequacy and extent of programs designed to safeguard organization assets.
  • Recommends employee training and modifications to procedures as needed.
Job Requirements
  • Must have a minimum of B.Sc. Degree in Accounting.
  • Must be ACCA and IIA registered, must have a minimum of 7- 10 years working experience.
