Electronic Technician Officer (ETO) Vacancy in an Indigenous Company


MasterMindsHRSG Consulting- Our client, a wholly Nigerian owned indigenous company, who provide various services to the oil and gas exploration and production company and other organizations, is looking to fill the vacant position below:   Job Title: Electronic Technician Officer (ETO) Location: Lagos Job Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the vessels electronic/electrical issues on board fleets.
  • Deliver the highest standard of repair / training to ship-board technical staff operating method.
  • Keeping up to date with current practices and technology;
  • Regular ship visits to maintenance / replacement update.
  • You would be required to handle the emergency situations and ensure all the equipment needed for safety is always ready
  • Looks into electrical and technical aspects on a vessel. Hence working of computer controlled machinery would be supervised by the ETO.
Qualifications
  • COC ETO (new regulation III/6)
  • Minimum of a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering
  • Engine watch keeping rating preferable
  • Basic Safety Training certificate and Security Awareness or Designated Security certificate
  • Valid Seafarer medical (ENG1)
  • Seaman’s Discharge Book
  • Proficiency in survival craft and Rescue Vessels
  • Advanced fire fighting
  • AV/IT automation + VSAT systems
  • Ships Security Systems (CCTV, doors lock monitoring).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of Nigeria marine environment and maritime laws
  • Positive, enthusiastic and self-motivated
  • Demonstrates high level of professionalism and PWF representation
  • Team player with administration and crew
  • Excellent decision making skills
  • Excellent communicator, clear and direct
  • Excellent managerial skills
  • Ability to set and meet goals and deadlines
