Chlorophyll Ventures (trading as Chlorophyll Energy) is an energy services and solutions provider that offers cutting-edge technology and strategic consulting for a sustainable energy sector. We are recruiting to fill the position below:     Job Title: Finance Officer Location: Lagos Purpose

  • To provide financial and operational support to Management.
  • To execute daily tasks responsibilities as assigned.
Duties & Responsibilities Essential duties/key job roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Assist in annual budget preparation and management activities, and prepare weekly budgets.
  • Comply with financial policies to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Manage petty cash as well as maintain book keeping up-to-date.
  • Ensure maintenance of the general and subsidiary ledgers.
  • Track investments and maintain relevant cash reserves.
  • Ensure all expenses are within assigned project budget.
  • Prepare all financial statements, proposals, et cetera, as required.
  • Ensure account receivables functions are performed accurately and timely. Prepare and submit all verification documents, client invoices via acceptable channels.
  • Identify and resolve invoicing issues, accounting discrepancies and other financial related issues.
  • Responsible for hands-on administration and record updates on all payables activities.
  • Ensure that financial transactions are properly updated and recorded.
  • Ensure data integrity in all financial reporting.
  • Conduct periodic financial analysis to identify and resolve issues, gaps or variances.
  • Responsible for the preparation of Balance Sheets (Statement of Financial Position), income statements, expense reports, etc.
  • Perform finance analysis, reporting and management tasks.
  • Review financial paperwork and procedures and make appropriate changes.
Expected Output: Key outputs expected of the Finance Officer:
  • Weekly budget and financial report.
  • Monthly financial report / analysis.
  • Receivables and Payables tracker.
Requirements/Education
  • B.Sc / HND Accounting or related
  • Required Working Experience:
  • Minimum of 6months - 1 year relevant experience
  • Required Certification(s): ICAN, ACCA an added advantage.
Knowledge, Skills & Attitude:

  • High technical proficiency in core accounting.
  • Sound knowledge of Credit control principles and procedures.

  • To be flexible in approach and be comfortable with a fluid organizational structure that requires both team work and self-sufficiency as necessary, with the ability to work under minimal supervision.

  • Ensure business growth through directing and managing business operations activities to ensure these are delivered in accordance with the organizational strategy. To plan, direct and manage the performance of the company’s operations in accordance with the agreed business strategy.
  • Responsible for positioning Chlorophyll Ventures within the top two service providers in any market it operates in with the deployment of requisite marketing strategies, structures, and systems that guarantee exceptional service delivery and customer satisfaction to drive business revenue growth and profitability
Duties and Responsibilities Essential duties/key job roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Develop and implement a structure for the organisation with consideration for vision, strategic objectives and required resources
  • Implement, maintain and manage an effective system of controls throughout the company, covering non-financial as well as financial controls.
  • Ensure that operating objectives and standards of performance and conduct are established and complied with by management as well as employees.
  • Management, monitoring, reporting and communication in regard to financial and physical resources, administration and budgeting.
  • Maintain and develop organisational culture, values and reputation in its markets and with all staff, customers, suppliers, partners and regulatory/official bodies.
  • Assume overall responsibility for developing plans for the organisation.
  • Accountable for business performance based on predefined market indicators and benchmarks
  • Develop marketing solutions to grow customer base in numbers and in value.
  • Develop innovative ways of improving customer acquisition, retention and development
  • Identify new business opportunities and position Chlorophyll to engage and secure contracts
  • Establish a system of reports and communications for all information from the teams in the organisation.
  • Plan, develop and supervise the execution of strategic brand and communications initiatives and material to drive business performance and protect the brand and reputation of the company.
  • Create and enhance public awareness and knowledge of Chlorophyll Ventures as a centre of excellence in energy services

Requirements Minimum Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Marketing or any related Social Sciences discipline. An MBA or MSc will be an advantage.
Working Experience:
  • Minimum of 10 years in similar function, with at least 5 years in power and electricity utilities sector in a senior managerial role.

  • Strong background in Marketing, Business sales and product design/development

      Job Title: Technical Manager Location: Lagos Job Description
  • Controls Technical resourcing, development and management. The TM is responsible for managing technical processes and engineering to ensure project success, focused on providing technical services delivery that meets client requirements in a profitable and timely manner.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Essential duties/key job roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Meet with client teams and gather technical requirements prior to engagement
  • Identify technical resource and equipment requirements, efficient capacity planning and manage availability of working tools. Responsible for the acquisition, maintenance and management of all operational tools
  • Able to make quick decisions and solve technical problems to provide an efficient environment for project implementation.
  • Work with Project Manager to match resources to available jobs based on skill sets, previous experience & geographical location.
  • Manage team communication. Conduct regular team meetings and track project progress.
  • Must ensure teams follow the correct procedures, policies and documentation requirements across project phases.
  • Able to guide the team through the development, testing and implementation stages and review the completed work effectively.
  • Responsible for ensuring all technical knowledge, processes, and procedures are developed, and updated.
  • Provide direction and technical expertise in design, development and systems integration.
  • Provide line management for field delivery and technical solution resources. Conducts periodic performance reviews of team members and identify areas of improvement.

Qualifications Minimum Education:
  • B.Sc/HND in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Systems. Any relevant post-graduate Degree will be an advantage.
Minimum Working Experience:
  • A minimum of 8 years working experience in power and electricity utilities sector teams with 3 years at supervisory level.
Required Certification(s):
  • COREN or Any relevant professional certification
Knowledge, Skills & Attitude:
  • Proficient in handling the most complex of technical development concepts, excellent knowledge of metering technology , energy management,ICT systems and alternative power solutions
  • An appreciation of customer expectations with a customer-oriented approach to results and Project Management Skills
  • Experience in troubleshooting, solutions design and development and the ability to understand and adapt client requirements into product solutions development and delivery.
  • Must be able to provide high level technical support. Able to make quick decisions and solve technical problems.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Word and Project.
