We are recruiting to fill the positions below:       Job Title: Experienced Store Keeper Location: Nigeria Job Responsibilities

  • Keep records of items purchased and received, or transferred to another location
  • Receives and inspects all incoming materials and reconciles with purchase orders; processes and distributes documentation with purchase orders;
  • Hard working/fast pace of work
  • Capacity to execute instructions with speed
  • Reports, documents and tracks damages and discrepancies on orders received.
  • Fills supply requisitions, makes certain that materials supplied to site are of the right quality and quantity
  • Receives and stores documents and confidential files; maintains record of approved document and confidential file destruction.
  • Returns or replace damaged/ substandard items back to vendors as appropriate.
  • Maintains the warehouse, records area and stores area in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Answers questions regarding procedures and resolves discrepancies regarding receipts, deliveries, warranties, repairs and surplus property.
  • Conducts due diligence of identified sources and facilitate their pre-qualification with Quantity Surveyor
  • Monitors and pro‐actively takes actions in response to site needs/ requests for construction material
  • Carries aggressive negotiations with suppliers with intention to provide additional discount or other favorable terms
  • Establishes and maintains strong business relationship with suppliers;
  • Anticipates and proactively elevates potential challenges/problems
  • Follows procurement policies and procedures and complies with Code of Business Ethics and Conduct
Work Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience is required.
  • Work experience with a reputable construction company would be an added advantage.

  • Optimal utilization of available manpower, machinery, materials within the project
  • Frugal and ‘No Nonsense’ managerial skill
  • Excellent communication and negotiating skills.
  • Experience with renowned or well-known construction company
  • Thoroughly disciplined in the area of purchase and cost analysis
  • Have experience in PMMS( Purchase and Material Management System)
  • Skilled in Tendering, Client billing and Sub-contractors billing:
  • Excellent project management capability, superior problem-solving
  • Operation and execution management skills
  • Estimation & Costing of Civil Work
  • Controlling projects with respect to cost and quality compliance (cost effectiveness).
  • Inventory Control & Co – to provide the Material at site within the required time span to achieve the goal.
  • Reconciliation of Cement, Steel & Raw Materials using for Construction purposes.
  • Monitoring Sub-Contractors bills on actual quantities of work done and ensuring timely payment.
  • Conducting cost benefit analysis of the projects
  • Resource monitoring and control
  • Re-conciliation for bulk materials.
  • Preparation of bill of quantities
  • Preparation of Budget for the project
  • Preparation of monthly cost report and tracking
  • Tracking and monitoring of Project Schedule.
  • Preparation of Cost plan and productivity control for self-performance activities
  • Site inspection reports as per approved construction drawings and site verification work executed by the contractor.
  • Developing project baselines; monitoring and controlling projects with respect to cost and quality compliance
  • Supervising the preparation of monthly progress reports entailing progress and details for engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities
  • Teamwork & leadership ability
Qualifications
  • We require a minimum of (B.Sc.) in Quantity Surveying or a Construction-related discipline. A Masters Degree will be an advantage.
Work Experience:
  • At least 8 Years’ Experience
  • Strong computer skills excel Microsoft.
