• A security supervisor oversees guards who protect private property against theft and vandalism.
• Security officers also ensure the safety of people on their employer's premises.
• The supervisor is also responsible for monitoring the electronic surveillance equipment used on the premises.
• Security supervisors have to prepare reports for the security agency on the happenings that take place in their work place.
• They have to train all the new security officers regarding all the security protocols of the agency.

• Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
• Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.
• Patrol industrial and commercial premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
• Answer alarms and investigate disturbances, Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
