We are inviting focused, result oriented and suitably qualified professionals to fill the the positions below:     Job Title: Head, Information and Communication Technology Location: Nigeria Job Description

  • The Head of CT is responsible for managing all issues relating to the company’s Information Technology systems administration, communications infrastructure, disaster recovery, network security, IT systems planning and back up, strategic budgeting, as well as harmonious coordination of all ICT staff, to ensure that the CT department to functions effectively.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the planning and execution of all IT projects developed by the company
  • Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new IT software projects and initiatives to support and enhance the existing systems.
  • Analyze performance of programs and take action to correct deficiencies in consultation with users and approval of management.
  • Consult with managerial and technical personnel to clarify program intent, identify problems, and suggest changes.
  • Develop new software or modules as requested by management from time to time Recommend relevant programs and policies that would enhance the computerization of the
  • company’s systems and process, for improved efficient service delivery.
  • Maintain and modify programs, implement management approved changes such as amending work and process flow charts, developing detailed programming logic, coding changes in operations, etc.
  • Assist in the creation of the system design and functional specifications for new projects as may be required from time to time.
  • Installation, training and assistance to the users of the developed modules. Integrate developed modules into existing system
  • Coordinate all key units of the CT department for efficient and effective service delivery to each user department
  • Manage the company’s server system and back up process to ensure downtimes are eradicated, or at least reduced to the bared minimum
  • Prepare and submit periodic activity reports to management as needed from time to time.
Qualification, Experience and Attributes
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information System (MIS) or a similar computer-oriented major, plus 10 years of cognate experience in a major company or division of a large corporation, 5 of which should be at a senior management level performing similar role. Master’s Degree in relevant field will be an added advantage.
  • Having advanced skills in Object Oriented Programming language such asiava

  • Having advanced skills in Relation Database Management System such as MS SQLServer, MySQL
  • Possess the ability to harmonize the different units! job functions/roles in the department for best performance.
  • Should be fluent in English language, with demonstrable skills in hands-on use of various software relevant to the insurance business

  • Should be good at training and mentoring colleagues, subordinates, and where necessary, superiors in all issues requiring ICT support in the company
  • Between 37 years and 45 years of age
    Job Title: Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer Location: Nigeria Job Description Reporting to the Board, the successful candidate will serve as the principal strategy and business development executive of the company and will have ultimate P&L responsibility. He/She will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing short, medium and long-term strategies that will ensure the continued growth and profitability of the company. Specifically, the candidate will:
  • Champion the formulation of the company’s strategies and ensure implementation.
  • Serve as a key brand icon for the company, creating a niche for it in the insurance sector and consistently reinforcing and promoting the corporate brand value and identity.
  • Lead the overall business development efforts (including deal sourcing and origination) to ensure the realization of the company’s growth aspirations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and lead the development of relevant strategic alliances.
  • Manage the assets, liabilities and human capital of the Company.
  • Drive the development of annual operating plans including business plans, operational requirements, staffing and budgets to ensure business continuity.
  • Take full ownership of the company’s financial performance and provide periodic update on it to the Board.
Qualification, Experience and Attributes
  • A good first degree in any field of study from a reputable tertiary institution. An MBA or any other higher degree will be an added advantage.
  • Professional qualification(s) in insurance (e.g ACII) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 18 years’ post-qualification experience including 12 years’ experience in the insurance industry and at least 10 years’ experience at executive management level.
  • Excellent relationship management and strategic networking skills at the highest level in the private and public sectors.
  • Strong understanding of the application of risk management in the context of insurance businesses.
  • Sound knowledge of regional and global trends in the insurance industry as well as an understanding of the key macroeconomic drivers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, marketing, planning and organization skills.
  • Between 45 years and 55 years of age (but this may be waived in exceptional cases)
    Job Title: Chief Finance Officer Location: Nigeria Job Description
  • The Chief Finance Officer position is responsible for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the company, including the development of a financial and operational strategy.
  • He/She is responsible for designing the metrics that help in the implementation of the financial strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve the company assets and report accurate financial results.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on leadership in the management of the company’s finance and accounts functions in both life and non-life insurance businesses
  • Lead the development of the Company’s revenue and expenditure budgets
  • Monitor and direct the implementation of company’s expenditure budgets
  • Monitor the company’s cash flow and ensure the company is sufficiently liquid to finance its operations
  • Advise the company’s senior management on the optimal current/fixed asset ratio in line with the regulatory requirements
  • Lead the preparation of the final accounts including Profit/Loss account and balance sheet Develop and implement financial control systems in order to mitigate financial losses
  • Design and implement a system that ensures financial records are well filed and easy to retrieve Advise the company’s senior management on profitable investment opportunities that yield high returns
  • Provide advice to senior management on tax requirements for all financial transactions Provide leadership to the finance team through setting goals, coaching and appraising the

Qualification, Experience and Attributes
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field with Certified Public Accountant (CPA), ICAN or ACCA plus 10 years of progressively responsible experience in an insurance company and at least 6 years’ experience at executive management level. Possession of a Master’s Degree in relevant field is an added advantage.
  • Proven audit and training experience especially in life and non-life insurance businesses Proven skills in managing change, achieving results, ensuring quality, and building teams and capacity
  • Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel and accounting packages, Excellent skill in Information and Communication Technology, especially as it relates to the insurance business

    Job Title: Chief Technical Officer / Executive Director, Technical & Operations Location: Nigeria Job Description Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for formulating and implementing company’s underwriting and reinsurance policies, maximizing business opportunities, formulating and developing long term product strategies, developing corporate product policies, advising on investment decisions, etc. Specifically, the candidate will:
  • Negotiate and procure reinsurance treaties for the company.
  • Provide the required hands-on leadership in all technical and operational matters
  • Provide leadership on all ICT related issues affecting the company’s operations Advise the Managing Director and Board on technical matters.
  • Prepare revenue budgets for the company’s technical operations.
  • Preparetechnical inputs to management and financial accounts.
  • Properly guide and motivate personnel involved in technical operations.
  • Closely monitor trends and developments on technical issues in the insurance market.
  • Ensure compliance with the provisions of the insurance laws & regulations.
  • Organize appropriate training programs for all technical staff.
  • Produce monthly, quarterly and annual reports bordering on technical matters to aid Executive
  • Management decisions.
  • Act as a relief officer for the CEO when the latter is unavailable
Qualification, Experience and Attributes
  • A good first degree (Minimum of Second Class Lower or Upper Credit) in Insurance/Actuarial Science
  • Professional membership of ACII or equivalent is a necessary requirement for this position
  • Master’s degree in relevant discipline will be an added advantage
  • Minimum of 15 years’ cognate experience, 10 of which must be at Management level in an insurance company, 8 of which must have been at executive management level
  • Special skills in negotiations
  • Demonstrable skills in Information Technology as applicable to insurance business
  • Ability to develop and drive a rapidly growing technical portfolio
  • Between 45 years and 50 years of age (this could be waived slightly in exceptional cases)
