Job Title: Account Manager

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

  • We are currently hiring an experienced Account Manager to grow our customer base and drive revenue for the business. In this role, you will acquire new business accounts via outbound sales campaigns, identify key decision makers and discover customer needs to effectively communicate value propositions and deliver best in class customer experiences

Outcomes:
Within 3 months:

  • Complete 6 AWS accreditations (Understanding the business)
  • Build a pipeline of 20 accounts.
    • 5 valid enterprise accounts, up to the Proposal stage.
    • 15 valid SMB accounts, up to the Proposal stage. 

Within 6 months:

  • Complete 10 AWS accreditations.
  • Attain AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification.
  • Build a pipeline of 60 accounts.
    • 20 valid enterprise accounts, up to the Proposal stage (5 F2F presentations/demos/PoCs)
    • 40 valid SMB accounts, up to the Proposal stage (10 F2F presentations/demos/PoCs)
  • Close 10 deals worth $40,000 in total ACV.

 Within 12 months:

  • Build a pipeline of 100 accounts.

    • 30 valid enterprise accounts, up to the Proposal stage (5 closed deals)
    • 70 valid SMB accounts, up to the Proposal stage (5 closed deals)
  • Close deals worth $150,000 in total ACV
  • 10 new logos in deals annually.

Job Responsibilities

  • Generate leads and identify sales prospects.
  • Grow the customer base and develop customer relationships.
  • Deliver best in class customer experiences, build strong relationships, and influence decision makers.
  • Present creative and unique solutions virtually, utilizing phone, Business Connect and Google Meet.
  • Actively listen to customers, complete needs analysis and quickly identify and recommend solutions.
  • Build a robust sales pipeline while developing a comprehensive strategy for long-term success.
  • Provide insights and customer feedback to improve marketing campaigns and programs.
  • Partner with the implementation team to ensure order requirements are met.
  • Demonstrate the company's added-value through presentations, and proposals uniquely positioned to customer needs.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives such as seminars, workshops, and training sessions as required.
  • Acquire new Business Accounts via outbound sales campaigns, quickly identify key decision makers and discover customer needs to effectively communicate value propositions.
  • Qualify inbound leads and manage their engagements up to close and handoff to delivery/implementation teams.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
  • Sales certifications are a plus.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in Sales, Account management or Business Development in a high-tech or service-related industry, preferably in software sales, technology sales, or cloud services for B2B businesses. 
  • In-depth knowledge and technical understanding of the organization’s business, product, and service offerings.
  • Demonstrated success selling to enterprises. 
  • Strong knowledge and experience with sales tools and technologies e.g Salesforce, Hubspot, Pipedrive, Apollo, Crunchbase, LinkedIn Sales Navigator etc.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Google Docs, Sheets & Slides.
  • You’re strongly analytical, results-driven and understand the importance of reporting on performance and using data to inform decisions.
  • Empathy, a collaborative spirit, a sense of humor and a positive attitude.
  • Tenacity and drive to seek new business and meet or exceed targets.
  • A self-starter, who understands how to build and manage their own pipeline of opportunities.
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise of selling technology solutions to enterprise businesses.
  • Interpersonal skills for building and developing relationships with clients and an ability to influence stakeholders, C-level executives and decision makers. 
  • Great written and verbal communication skills - needed for communicating with a range of people, both internally and externally, as well as good presentation skills.

Salary
N200,000 - N300,000 monthly
