Description

  • We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a passionate go-getter to assume the newly created Finance Manager position based in our Lagos office.  

Essential Responsibilities

  • Responsible for accounting & taxation by ensuring coordination with the local accounting firm.  
  • With the support of a local accounting firm, issue & file proper accounting tax documents (ex: invoice to customers, Tax filing to local authorities). 
  • Ensure compliance. 
  • Implement internal controls. 
  • Division margin monitoring, forecast and analysis. 
  • SFC forecast preparation and monitoring. 
  • Provide inputs for monthly and quarterly closing.
  • Ensure accurate Revenue Recognition (according to PoC methodology). 
  • Anticipate and prepare for external audits.  
  • Manage entity treasury aspects with local banks and Anglophone Africa Treasury. 
  • Check actual and Forecasted Cash Flow and anticipate needs.  
  • Review and validate monthly closing activities. 

Qualifications
About You:

  • BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field. 
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with budgeting and risk management. 
  • Proven track record in contributing to operational efficiency and performance in an international contex. 
  • Recognized accountancy qualification e.g., ACCA. 
  • Flexibility, capacity to listen and learn. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a network and a group internationally. 
  • Well-organized and well-structured. 
  • Clear & synthetic communication. 
  • Good MS Office Skills, particularly in Excel.  
  • Experience with an ERP (SAP) is an added advantage. 
  • In-depth understanding of double-entry bookkeeping, cash flow management, and reconciliations. 
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting models. 
  • Proficiency in accounting software. 
  • Solid analytical and decision-making. 
  • Experience in a Multi-cultural team environment and matrix organization is a plus.
