We are recruiting to fill the position below:     Job Title: Nigeria Security Manager Location: Lagos Department: Safety & Security Type: Full Time Duties

  • Plan and manage budget for implementation of Corporate Security & Safety Plan across Nigeria
  • Manage the physical protection of Fenix facilities and assets
  • Define, update, and perform security and safety induction trainings for all new employees and on regular basis for all staffs
  • Keep track of different events, which may pose a security hazard to Fenix staff and property
  • Conduct security evaluations
  • Conduct incident investigations (e.g. fraud, theft, etc.)
  • Supervise security staff members and drivers
  • Manage fleet control, maintenance, and planning
  • Assist all international travelers upon request
  • Develop and implement Corporate Security & Safety Plan, including all components below, and keep plan up-to-date as Fenix grows in Nigeria and the operating context changes.
  • Emergency Evacuation and Response Plan & Procedures
  • Corporate Communication Policies
  • Key contact database with national, regional, and local authorities
  • Incident reporting & tracking system
  • Individual tracking and transport/fleet management protocol
  • Coordinate with local security agencies to gain a better understanding of best practices
  • Develop and manage staffing plan to implement Corporate Security & Safety Plan; hire team or consultants as planned
Profile
  • Bring (or be able to develop) strong professional networks within government and public and private security services
  • Have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, leadership skills, integrity, and the ability to build and lead highly professional and effective teams
  • Be able to manage ground information collection, analysis, and dissemination.
  • Have experience in a central intelligence office or have served as an operator inside the intelligence process, with an operational background in crisis zones
  • Have a demonstrated ability to develop and coordinate security and safety services within a large project or business, including experience with 2-3 major governmental, non-governmental, intergovernmental, or private organizations (e.g. national security forces, UN, NATO, or major companies or NGOs)
  • Have strong working knowledge of risk management frameworks and experience implementing them
  • Be able to manage security teams, contractors, and relevant vendors within mandatory compliance and service standards; this includes the ability to coordinate and control armed security personnel, with proven experience monitoring rules of engagement
