Tax Auditor Requirements, Skills & Qualifications

The following common skills and qualifications are required of a Tax Auditor:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
past work history in accounting or auditing
Knowledge of Accounting software (Sage, QuickBooks) and Microsoft programs (Word, Excel)
Strong grasp of mathematics and finances
Investigative skills
Analytical thinking
Great attention to detail
Problem-solving skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Customer service skills are highly desired
