Adexen Recruitment Agency is mandated by a leading international Oil & Gas Company to select a Community Liaison Officer for its office.

Job descriptionThe Community Liaison Officer has the responsibility of monitoring all activities and relationships within the company Projects/ Nigerian local environments such as:

  • CLOs/PROs
  • Local Governments Joint Labour Committees
  • Kings and communities representatives.
  • Workers representatives, Unions.
  • Labour contractors
  • Local and States Governments representatives
  • Clients Public Affairs Dept.
  • National Assembly members
  • Local content contractors

Vacancy Responsibilities

  • To monitor and coordinate all offshore environments staff employments.
  • To anticipate and report on any local environments issues.
  • To insure all environments, taxes, levies, gifts, donations, assistance/development projects are ethically compliant and properly investigated.
  • To strictly follow up internal or clients communities guidelines.
  • To forecast and suggest actions and plans, to define related strategies.
  • To audit, crosscheck and validate all local contractors and labour contractors contracts terms and related invoices and payments.
  • To intervene and defend company s interests in cases of disputes and / or claims in the said environments as per management/legal dept. guideline.
  • To liaise and coordinate meetings in relation with above described environments as per management and projects guidelines.
  • To insure ethical compliance of all company/projects actions in the environments.
  • To monitor and coordinate the tasks and duties of environments CLOs & PROs.
  • To implement, monitor offshore local staff training and keep records of staff individual evaluations.

Vacancy Qualifications

  • Manager level staff
  • University graduate
  • Ethical compliance and honesty
  • Legal and Public relations background
  • Ability to form systems and procedures and ensure their adherence.
  • Proven computer literacy skills.
  • 5 years experience in International company.
  • Strong organisation capacity for proper reporting, records keeping and financial analysis.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong motivation and challenging spirit.
