Under the general supervision of the Resident Representative and the  direct supervision of the
National Programme Analyst (RHCS), he/she will undertake the following duties:  Under the overall
supervision of the Resident Representative and direct supervision of the National Programme
Analyst (RHCS), the Program Associate  RHCS substantively contributes to the effective
management of UNFPA activities in the areas reproductive health commodities security, as follows:
• He/she  will facilitate the work of consultants, advisors and experts and establishes and
maintains collaborative relationships with counterparts in government, multi lateral and bilateral donor agencies and civil society to address emerging issues.
• Provide technical support to ensure the institutionalization of a sustainable national RH
commodity supply and logistic management system.
• Provide  support for the institutionalization of a competitive and transparent contraceptive
procurement system and plan.
• Provide support for tracking of contraceptives and other RH Commodities procurement and
delivery to Implementing Partners (IPs).
• Participate in review meetings and evaluation missions and prepare regular inputs to status
and progress reports.
• Provide logistical and technical support to the programme implementation by reviewing
quarterly project workplans and proposing corrective actions, as necessary and summarize
all reports from the decentralized offices.
• Facilitate programme financial management by reviewing and participating in the
processing of government requests for advances and direct payments.
• Support the advocacy and resource mobilization strategy of the Field Office by compiling
and synthesizing relevant background materials for use in discussions and public events
relating to RHCS.
• Establish and maintain network of donor and public information contacts and provide
assistance in organizing public information events on RHCS.
• He/she analyzes and assesses relevant political, social and economic trends and provides
substantive inputs to project formulation and evaluation, joint programming initiatives and
national development frameworks.
• He/she will support the  National Programme Analyst, RHCS in facilitating the delivery of
UNFPA programs by monitoring results achieved in the implementation.
• He/she will support the appropriate application of systems and procedures and develops
enhancements if necessary.
• Prepare all substantive meetings between the National Programme Analyst,   RHCS and
donors/development partners regarding RHCS (Summarize projects, take notes and follow
up on recommendations).
• In collaboration with organize programme meetings and make reports and follow up actions
taken on recommendations to the Maternal Health Advisor and National Programme
Analyst,  RHCS.
• In consultation with the Maternal Health Advisor and NPO RHCS follow up on FACE and
ensure that FACE Forms are received timely from the decentralised offices.
• Perform  any other  tasks as assigned by the UNFPA Representative,  Deputy
Representative, Maternal Health Advisor and National Programme Analyst,   RHCS.

Qualification and Experience:
The ideal candidate should;
- Be a Nigerian national (Male or Female).
- work assignments as and when necessary
- Possess good writing and communication skills.
- Have good working knowledge of MS Office applications
- Possess University degree in health  or  social sciences.
- Possess a minimum of 7 years of related work experience preferably in a national or
- international organization
- Have an excellent organizational and time management skills
- Have the ability to perform well under pressure and flexibility in handling unexpected
