Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic, Bauchi invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the posts of the Polytechnic Librarian, Bursar, Director Medical Services and Director of Works
Job Title: The Polytechnic Librarian
The Polytechnic Librarian is responsible to the Rector for the administration and smooth operation of the Library services of the Polytechnic. He shall possess those personal qualities like drive, innovation, resourcefulness and ability to initiate and supervise research.
Qualification

• Candidates shall possess at least a Master of Library Science (MLS) with 16 years cognate experience and professional registration with professional body. In addition, candidate must show evidence of:
• Publications of journal papers
• 3 other papers presented at a National/International seminars
• Not less than 4 meaningful chapter contributions in standard textbooks or publication of 2 standard textbooks.

Job Title: Bursar
The Bursar is responsible to the Rector on all financial matters in the Polytechnic. He is the custodian of the Polytechnic's financial records and plans organize and coordinate the operation of the financial system of the Polytechnic.
Qualification
Candidates should possess a good honours degree/HND in Accounting or finance from a recognized institution of higher learning with at least 18 years post-qualification cognate experience preferably in an institution of higher learning plus registration with a recognized professional accounting body. Above all he/she must be a person of high integrity.


Job Title: Director of Medical Services
The Director Medical Services Is responsible for the administration of medical services in the polytechnic. He shall be in charge of all the Clinics and All matters that relates to medical care.
Qualification
Candidates should hold MBBS or equivalent qualification from a recognize institution of higher learning and must be registered with Nigerian Medical Council plus at least 15 years of cognate experience or a holder of post graduate qualification in Medicine plus at least 12 years cognate experience.


Job Title: Director of Works and Maintenance Services
The Director of Works and Maintenance shall be the overall controller of the Works and Estate Department.
Responsibilities
    He shall be responsible for overall control of the technical activities of the Works Department.
    He shall keep inventory of all the Polytechnic vehicles and has responsibility for their maintenance, security and upkeep. He shall be responsible for the supervision of all staff of the Works Department and any duty to be assigned by the Rector.
Qualification
Candidate must be a fully registered Engineer and a holder of good Engineering Degree with at least 15 years experience in Project/Works Management OR a registered Engineer with a Masters degree with 12 years relevant experience.


Terms of Appointment

• The appointment is for an initial period of four (4) years and is eligible for reappointment for another period of four (4) years only.
• The salary attached to the post is according to the Polytechnic Scheme of Service
• The candidate appointed will be entitled to an official car with a driver, rented accommodation and other benefits as specified in the Polytechnic Condition of Service.
