Qualifications Required

Chief Medical Laboratory Scientist (CONTISS 13)
Candidates should be an AIMLT with a minimum of fifteen (15) year experience in Medical Laboratory Technology or ten (10) years for FIMLT.

Laboratory Scientist (CONTISS 07)
Candidate should possess:

• Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science

Laboratory Technician (CONTISS 07)
Candidates should possess:

• Medical Laboratory Technician Certificate (MLT)

Public Health Nurses (CONTISS 07)
Candidates should possess:

• Bachelor of Nursing Certificate (Public Health Nurses)

Medical Laboratory Scientist I (CONTISS 08)
Candidates should possess:

• (AIMLT) with at least three (3) year experience in Medical Laboratory Science

Medical Lab. Scientist II (CONTISS 07)

• Candidates should be an Associate Member of the Institute of Medical Technologists (AIMLT)

Technologist I (CONTISS 08)
Candidates should possess:

• HND or C&G Part II Technician Certificate in relevant field.
• C&G Part III or FTC Engineering in relevant field, not VTC craft with three year working experience plus Associate membership Diploma of NIST/IST (ANIST/AIST) with 2 years working experience.

Technologist II (CONTISS 07)
Candidate should possess:

• Final Diploma in NIST in relevant field of specialization of HND in Science Lab. Technology, City & Guild part II in Science Laboratory Technology.
• B. Sc./B.Tech in any appropriate Science Course and Institute’s Criteria
• Any other Diploma in Science and Institute Criteria.
• Specializing in Blood, Rheology and Pharmacology

Community Health Extension Workers (CONTISS 07)
Candidates should possess:

• Degree in Community Health Extension Worker

• Final Diploma in NIST in relevant field of specialization or HND in Science Lab. Technology. City & Guild Part II in Science Laboratory Technology.
• B. Sc./B.Tech. in any appropriate science course and Institute Criteria.
• Any Diploma in Science and Institute Criteria.

Technical Officer (CONTISS 06)
Candidate should possess:

• OND or equivalent qualification in the relevant discipline with 3 year post qualification experience.

Senior Technical Officer (CONTISS 08)
Candidate should possess:

• HND in the relevant field with five (5) years post qualification experience.

Other Conditions

• Appointment is normally on probation which may be confirmed after two years of satisfactory service. The post is pensionable.
• Please note that computer literacy and NYSC discharge Certificate/Certificate of Exemption are mandatory.
