An expanding Marine Company with offices located in Port Harcourt, Lagos and Abuja hereby invites qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following vacant positions in the company:

Job Title: Port Engineer - With Valid Certificate of Competency (COG), Valid STCW certification Valid Seamans Book with evidence of minimum of ten (10) years experience as Chief Engineer on class vessels, Valid Passport and Medical certificate.

Job Description

• Design, develop, and take responsibility for the installation of ship machinery and related equipment including propulsion machines and power supply systems.
• Coordinates repair and maintenance functions
• Cooperates with regulatory bodies to ensure that requirements for alterations, repair, or modifications are kept at minimum cost consistent with safety.
• Perform monitoring activities in order to ensure that ships conform to international regulations and standards for life saving equipments and pollution preventatives. ,
• Investigates machinery casualties to determine cause, and advises ship’s officers in methods of operation to prevent recurrence of casualty or mal-operation.
• Inspects machinery, equipment, or spaces outlined in work request, draws up job specifications, and obtains bids from contractors or shipyards to perform repairs.

Job Title: Accountant: To Prepare and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards. To compute Payroll, taxes return and analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
To maintain customers’ account, Budgets, Imprest and Bank reconciliation system.

Qualification: 2.1 OR Upper Credit from a reputable higher institution, 2-3years experience, Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants’ of Nigeria and must be female residing in Port-Harcourt

Job Title:  Secretary: To be providing clerical and administrative support to the company: To be managing diaries and making appointments; Drafting letters and other documents, such as PowerPoint presentations; Maintaining filing systems; Dealing with post and Travel arrangements; Using various computer packages Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc

Qualification:

• 2.1 in secretarial studies from a reputable institution and 5 years post qualification experience.
• Ability to multi-task arid work well under pressure and membership of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and
• Administrators (ICSA) is an added advantage.

Job Title:  Chief Engineer - Valid Certificate of Competency (COG), Valid STCW certification, Valid Seamans Book with evidence of minimum three (3) years experience as Chief Engineer, Valid Passport and Medical certificate.

Job Title: 2nd Mate - Valid Certificate of Competency (COG), Valid STCW certification , Valid Seamans Book with evidence of minimum three (3) years seagoing experience as 2nd Mate, Valid Passport and Med cal certificate.

Job Title:  Bosun - Valid Certificate of Competency (COG ), Valid STCW certification Valid Seamans Book with evidence of minimum three (3) years seagoing experience as Bosun , Valid Passport and Medical certificate.

Job Title:  A.B - Valid Certificate of Competency (COC), Valid STCW certification, Valid Seamans Book with evidence of minimum three (3) years seagoing experience as Able Seaman ,Valid Passport and Medical certificate.


Job Title: 2nd Engineer - Valid Certificate of Competency (COC), Valid STCW certification Valid Seamans Book with evidence of minimum three (3) years experience as a 2nd Engineer, Valid Passport and Medical certificate.

Job Title: Chief Mate - Valid Certificate of Competency (COG) Valid STCW certification Valid Seamans Book with evidence of minimum three (3) years experience as Chief Mate, Valid Passport and Medical certificate.

Job Title: Oiler - Valid Certificate of Competency (COC) Valid STCW certification, Valid Seamans Book with evidence of minimum three (3) years seagoing experience as an Oiler , Valid Passport and Medical certificate.

Job Title: Electrician - Valid Certificate of Competency (COG), Valid STCW certification , Valid Seamans Book with evidence of minimum three (3) years seagoing experience as an Electrician ,Valid Passport and Medical certificate.
