Job Title: System Analyst - Senior Level

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Job Description

• Prepare visual diagrams of system architecture, functionality, and process flows.
• Grasp and communicate big-picture enterprise-wide issues to team.
• Serve as a subject matter expert to guide technology strategy by convincing decision makers across multiple domains and working with Architects in each domain
• Work with business teams and other technical colleagues to understand business requirements.
• Determine how to leverage technology to create solutions that satisfy the business requirements.
• Serve as a technical resource for business teams to help define, estimate, and propose solutions for business opportunities.
• Create architecture and technical design documents to communicate solutions that will be implemented by the development team.
• Create High Level Solution Design (HLSD) in support of Enterprise Projects and present HLSD to senior management for reviews.
• Develop proofs-of-concept (POC) and prototypes to help illustrate approaches to technology and business problems.
• Work with development, infrastructure, test, and production support teams to ensure proper implementation of solution.
• Educate organization on available and emerging tool sets.
• Present solutions to clients, project teams, and other stakeholders adapting style to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to define service delivery landscape
• Mentor team members on best practices in area of expertise. Identify and suggest training opportunities for immediate work group to help promote bench strength

• Degree in Computer Science or other related courses;
• Minimum 8-10 years related work experience
• Has demonstrated depth and breadth of expertise in multiple related disciplines, such as HR Systems, Enterprise Content Management Systems, Mobility, Productivity and ‘Disruptive Innovation’ based expertise
• Ability to articulate the relationship between business strategy and technology strategy
• Experience working with vendors to evaluate, select, and implement 3rd party solutions.
• Strong communication skills (written / verbal) with varied audiences
• Experience explaining difficult concepts to decision makers to help shape technology strategy.
• Experience modeling “as-is” and “to-be” architectures based on business requirements
• Capable of performing design and configuration of complex systems with a focus on best practices for scalability, supportability and ease of administration and system performance.
• Understanding of the software development life-cycle, including Agile and Scrum-based models.
• Excellent organization skills - ability to work effectively and independently prioritize tasks in a fast changing environment.
• Familiarity with data warehousing components (data acquisition, ETL, data modeling, infrastructure, profiling and reporting)
• Familiarity with web services implementations and service oriented architectures
• Familiarity with reporting and analytics tools such as Business Objects and SAS.
• Familiarity with data modeling techniques for 3NF, dimensional models and hyper-normalized models.
• Understanding of fundamental Mobile Application Architecture Patterns including Web, Native, and Hybrid Mobile Applications.
• Understanding of basic Mobile Application Security, Deployment, and Maintenance Strategies.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly in a team environment with team members of various technical skill levels.

• Working closely with colleagues, developers, testers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction;
• Evaluate and document client needs/business processes both operational and financial, including current process analysis and proposed revisions to optimize business processes;
• Assist with the design and documentation of system functional requirements;
• Assure quality of information through business case and application level testing; validate test results to initial business needs;
• Design and document system level, IS operations level, and end user level procedures to support business applications.
• Business Requirements and Process Analysis - Writes business requirements and designs specific modules or programs within a larger system under direction of an experienced Analyst. Uses basic analytical methods to analyze and streamline business processes. Documents existing workflow/current business processes. Assists in completing service requests. Observes joint application development sessions.
• Operations Analysis - Independently evaluates and documents operational performance, diagnoses issues/incidents, completes service requests/problem resolution for basic / most common business systems or processes.
• Report Writing - Experienced using basic features of programming-like specialized analysis and reporting tools.
• Systems Analysis - Drafts technical requirements and designs specific modules or programs within a larger system under direction of an experienced Systems Analyst.
• Assists with creating prototype designs for low-risk projects. Documents existing workflow/current business processes. May use CASE tools.
• Systems Integration - Understands and uses data structures, data extraction techniques, and job submission procedures and has the ability to apply them in the development of solutions to systems through the writing of basic system specifications.
• Project Management - Plans and manages own work effort. Documents and communicates issues associated with own work. Apprises project manager of status, schedule variances, and outstanding issues. Balances quality of work with deadlines and budget. Suggests ways to better accomplish assigned tasks.

• Degree in Computer Science or other related courses;
• 2-4 years' work experience in an Agile Environment;
• Business acumen/business processes;
• Must have technical background (familiarity with lean agile would be a huge plus);
• Technical documentation skills;
• Great strong communication skills;
• Familiar with relational database concepts, and client-server concepts;
• Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals;
• A certain degree of creativity and innovation is required.

• Liaising extensively with external or internal clients to understand the problem to be solved and elicit requirements.
• Translating client requirements into functional and technical specification documents.
• Analyzing clients' existing systems and business models and providing ways of improving them.
• Mapping and documenting interfaces between legacy and new systems.
• Understanding software development lifecycle.
• Identifying options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability.
• Conducting requirements analysis and preparing specific proposals for modified or replacement systems.
• Providing training and user manuals to users of a new system.
• Keeping up to date with technical and industry developments.
• Supporting users on change control and system updates.
• Developing solutions and related products.
• Producing project feasibility and costing report for proposed system improvement.
• Presenting proposals to clients.
• Working closely with colleagues, developers, testers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
• Overseeing implementation of a new system including data migration.
• Planning and working flexibly to deadlines.

• Degree in Computer Science or other related courses.
• 0 - 1 year experience.

• Provide website maintenance and enhancements
• Work closely with creative design and back-end development teams to create HTML5/CSS3-based web applications
• Create quality mock-ups and prototypes on tight timelines
• Create cascading style sheets (CSS) that are consistent across all browsers and platforms
• Use a combination of markup languages to write web pages
• Maintain graphic standards and branding throughout the product's interface
• Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies
• Promote usability best practices

• Extensive knowledge in HTML5 and CSS3, including Web kit animation.
• Extensive knowledge in JavaScript, JQuery, Ajax.
• Thorough knowledge of design tools including, Photoshop, Illustrator.
• Ability to take a PSD/mock or concept and turn it into a working experience.
• Experience in creating exciting experiences on the Android and other mobile devices that conform to W3C standards.
• 3D Graphics Experience a plus
• Strong communication skills
• Proven resourcefulness in troubleshooting complex problems

• SQL Server knowledge and/or admin a plus
• UI/UX design experience
