Job Title: Community Care Officer

Location:
Ebonyi

Overall Job Function

  • Under the supervision of the State Progress Manager, the Community Care Officer will collaborate with relevant stakeholders and mobilize communities to enhance the implementation and sustainability of ECEWS Locate Project.
  • She/he will also coordinate, collaborate and implement formal and informal agreements and subcontracts that support HIV/AIDS care and treatment, TB, Malaria, reproductive health and other emerging chronic health challenges and facilitate the rapid rollout of intervention programs in ECEWS supported sites.
  • The incumbent is responsible for the coordination of established networks and communication of the program in supported sites.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervise and mentor Community based organizations(CBOs)to implement network activity in communities in accordance with sub-contract work-plan
  • Meet with government partners and community stakeholders for the purpose of establishing and promoting community empowerment programs that support HIV care treatment in each site.
  • Oversee and supervise the work of CBO's community volunteer, lay counsellors, adherence counsellors, peer services coordinator and other staff as assigned by ECEWS program.
  • Facilitates entry into communities through advocacy and ground braking activities.
  • Mobilize communities to support ECEWS program implementation and sustainability
  • Mobilize communities to participate and promote abstinence, being faithful to a partner and other prevention messages, men taking action and OVC services in the communities.
  • Maintain good working relation with relevant government/community, focal persons for the implementation of community care activities,
  • Displays concern and initiative for rapid rollout oft ECEWS LOCATE project at the community level.
  • Observes and supports clinic policies and procedures and develops method of providing services that are consistent with those policies and procedures and the National HIV Plan.
  • Perform any other duties assigned.
Qualification
  • Bachelor's degree in Science/Social Sciences or related field.
  • Knowledge and experience in the design, implementation and management of HIV/AIDS program preferred.
  • At least one year supervisory experience and two years post-graduate experience in community mobilization and community development.
  • Medium- level computer skills in MS Excel, Aceess, PowerPoint and Office.
  • Ability to speak clearly, concisely and effectively; listen to, and understand information and ideas as presented verbally.

Job Title: Motor Vehicle Officer
Location:
Abuja
Overall Job Function

  • The position provides reliable and secure driving services to the project team.
  • The incumbent will ensure proper use of vehicle and ensure day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle.
  • The incumbent projects a professional company image through interaction, appearance and attitude.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensures provision of reliable and secure driving services by:
  • Driving office vehicles for the transport of authorized personnel and delivery and collection of mail, documents and other items.
  • Meeting official personnel and visitors at the airport, visa and customs formalities arrangement when required.
  • Ensures cost-savings through proper use of vehicle through accurate maintenance of daily vehicle logs, provision of inputs to preparation of the vehicle maintenance plans and reports.
  • Provide other project related support assistance as may be assigned Supervisor
Qualification
  • Minimum relevant qualification from secondary academic institution.
  • Valid Driver's license.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and telephone protocol is an added advantage, a previous experience in conducting liaison work with government and international agencies and NGOs, a Minimum of 3 years' work experience as a driver; safe driving record; knowledge of driving rules and regulations and skills in minor vehicle repair.
