Job Summary
Responsible for design, service provisioning, third level support, recommendation of best practices and preparation of standard processes and as built documentation for Fortinet and Cisco ASA security product suites.
Principal Accountabilities/Objectives
  • Produce designs and network architectures based on Fortinet  (FortiGate 200b, 1240b, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer) as well   Cisco ASA security platforms.
  • Build and support firewall related administrative and or infrastructure systems.
  • Respond to trouble tickets and perform high- level troubleshooting on network security devices.
  • Research and certify the operation and compatibility of hot fixes (patches), new versions of vendor provided applications and appliances, across a variety of hardware and software platforms.
  • Maintain and administer firewall and general network security standards, documentation, processes and procedures.
  • Responsible for producing technical documentation associated with each implementation.
  • Develop and maintain environmental supporting documentation.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Competency requirements
  • A Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or related discipline with cumulative grading equal to or greater than Second class Upper division ( 2-1).
  • Relevant Cisco and network security certifications will be a strong advantage
  • Minimum 5 years experience in the design , setup and support of Fortinet Product Suite and Cisco ASA Firewall and Network Security Platform.
  • Review logs and reports of all in-place devices, whether they be under direct control (i.e., security tools) or not (i.e. workstations, servers, network devices, etc.). Interpret the implications of specific activities.
  • Understanding of networking protocols TCPIP, SMTP, FTP, HTTP, SNMP, Syslog, SSH etc.
  • Possession of Fortinet Security certifications (FCNSA and FCNSP) is a strong advantage.

  • Responsible for monitoring, ascertainment and management of regulatory matters and Government relations.

Will propose solutions to management to make sure all VoIP requirements are based on future needs and current usage.
