Job Title: Head, Finance and Commercial

Job Description

  • The Head, Finance and Commercial will assist the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on financial issues relating to Revenue Management, Billing, Vending and Data Management.
Responsibilities
Supervise and control of the following:
  • Revenue management
  • Commercial Financial Activities
  • Cash Collections at the Area Offices
  • Lead/head all investigation on cash collections lodgement and fraudulent activities in the financial function.
  • Set Collection targets and report to Management on debt collection and arrears.
  • Assist with the setting up of indicators and tariffs on the Vending system.
  • Advise the CFO on strategic matters concerning revenue collection, Billing and Vending.
  • Advise the Revenue Protection Unit on Non-vending Customers.
Qualifications
  • B.Sc or equivalent in Accounting or Economics
  • 10 years minimum working experience in Finance, experience in the Electricity distribution sector will be an advantage.

Job Title: Head, General Accounts
Location:

Job Description

  • The Head, general account is responsible for implementing an effective accounting system to ensure transaction management and quality accounting reporting standards is met.
Responsibilities
  • Design and implementation of accounting system - policies, processes and procedures.
  • Support implementation and use of modern accounting tools.
  • Ensure timely postings of transactions at all levels.
  • Supervise preparation of corporation financial statements on weekly and monthly basis, including budget performance.
  • Meet regulatory, statutory and other filing obligations.
  • Liaise with all other functions to ensure all transactions are capture.
  • Ensure compliance with all existing tax standard and financial operations.
  • Review and report on capital expenditure
  • Skills Gap analysis and training support for Financial team
  • Any other responsibility assigned by the CFO.
Qualifications
  • B.Sc or equivalent in Accounting or Economics
  • Professional certification ( ICAN, ANAN or any accounting related organisation)
  • Knowledge of business principles.
  • 12 years cognate experience in the field of Corporate Financial Management

Job Title: Team Lead, Group Account
Location:
Abuja
Job Description
  • Assist Head General Accountant in the preparation of Group Financial Statements and reports and support external audit activities.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the posting and documentation of transactions across the business operations and Head office.
  • Review business transactions internally to ensure compliance with group policy.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports in accordance with timetable.
  • Ensuring compliance with national financial reporting standard.
  • Work with external auditors for the statutory audit of corporate financial reports.
  • Ensure effective reconciliation of accounting schedules and manage recurring items.
  • Carry out other duties as requested by Head, General Accounts.
Qualifications and Experience
  • B.Sc or equivalent in Accounting or Economics
  • 7 years minimum working experience in financial statement preparations under internal financial reporting standard.
  • Strong IT skills

Job Title: Team Member, Payable and Disbursement
Location:

Job Description
  • Team member, payables and disbursement: The role of Team Member, Payables and Disbursement is to support the Team Lead Payables in discharge of duties in the payables section.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure all staff and vendors claims are discharged on a timely manner.
  • Monitoring bank payments and address any returns.
  • Daily reconciliation of payables.
  • Ensure all taxes are collected at source on timely manner.
  • Prompt remittance of such withheld and all other taxes to requisite authorities.
  • Actively accrue for any company expenditure periodically as appropriate.
Qualifications
  • B.Sc or equivalent in Accounting or Economics.
  • Professional certification (ACA, AIB mainly).
  • Exposure to Disbursement operations for at least 3 years in a large commercial establishment.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skill.
  • Knowledge reconciliations and payables best practices.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and timely delivery.
