Job Title: Human Resources Manager

Location:
Accra, Ghana
Conditions of Service: Local
Reports to: General Manager - Operations

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Development and Implementation of Policies and Procedures
  • Initiate Human Resource policies, develop processes, implement and manage the entire Human Resource function from recruitment, retention (including compensation, talent management), industrial relations to separation strategies across 4 West African countries.
  • Development, Management & Implementation of strategies to ensure sustainable succession, career planning and talent development.
  • Monitoring of External Environment to ensure best HR practices and compliance with applicable laws.
  • Management of employee communications to ensure positive operational climate and employee relations that focuses on preventive labour industrial disharmony.
Key Requirements
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Bachelor Degree or Degree in Social Sciences, Human Resources, Business Administration or Organization Development. Master’s in Business Administration with Human Resources or OD option and professional Certification in Human Resources Management will be an advantage.
  • At least fifteen (15) years relevant post qualification experience, seven (7) of which should be on managerial level.
  • Good knowledge of labour laws and related regulations and knowledge of compensation issues in both francophone and Anglophone countries.

  • Knowledge of, and understanding of Union operations combined with excellent negotiation skills.
  • Skillful in use of MS Office (Word, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems.)
  • Ability to work in a diverse multicultural environment. Team player who can seamlessly work effectively with other personnel.
  • Excellent Leadership skills with proven ability to mentor and develop employee competencies within the company.
  • Very fluent in English (Spoken and Written). Ability to communicate convincingly to influence stakeholders for achievement of corporate objectives.
  • Added Advantage -Ability to speak and write in French.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of development of systems for sustainable succession, career planning and talent development.
  • Experience in the management of human resources outsourcing contracts.
  • Demonstrable experience in the development and application of strategic HR management, policies, principles and practices especially in Compensation and recruitment.
  • Knowledge of ILO Conventions.
  • Hands on experience in the development of HR policies and its implementation processes.
  • Knowledge of Income Taxation across both Francophone and Anglophone.


Job Title: IT Manager

Location:
Accra, Ghana
Conditions of Service: Local
Reports to: General Manager - Operations

Main Duties & Responsibilities
  • Plan, Direct, Manage and Oversee IT/Communication Operational Activities:
  • Develop Information Technology Strategy in support of the company’s mission and core objectives.
  • Oversee the deployment of all IT Infrastructure and Business software roll-out.
  • Oversee the implementation of network security at the corporate level.
  • Ensure compliance on all software and communication License.
  • Develop an annual IT Plan, Operation and Capital Budget for the department and monitor the implementation of projects to ensure the organization’s targets are met.
Plan, Direct, Manage and Oversee SCADA and Control Systems (SSS, DCS and PLC) Activities:
  • Ensure that the overall operating and controlling philosophy is incorporated in the design and deployment of the SCADA, DCS and SSS systems.
  • Review and approve amendments to SCADA and Control systems operational procedures, including overrides, isolation, testing.
  • Carry out and assist with investigations into SCADA and Control Systems related incidents, including recommending actions to prevent recurrence.
Other Activities:
  • Provide assistance in the Deployment, Operation and maintenance of the metering/measurement systems.
  • Provide assistance in the Deployment, Operation and maintenance of the Fire and Gas Systems.
  • Provide assistance in the Deployment, Operation and maintenance standalone PLC systems.
  • Provide assistance in the Deployment, Operation and maintenance of the Gas Quality monitoring systems.
People Management and Organization:
  • Supervise, develop and coach team members to ensure the maximization of their potential.
  • Provide career development opportunities, challenging projects and time for learning and education for team.
  • Develop and keep a scorecard of Key Performance Indicators - KPI’s for measuring the performance-of employees of the Eastern-area and for administering PPRP for direct reports.
Key Requirements
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic, Information Technology or Computer Engineering with a Minimum of 8 years’ post degree experience will be an added advantage.
  • Proven IT Management experience.
  • A proven track record of driving and defining a complex IT strategy.
  • In- depth experience of negotiating with and managing third parties.
  • Experience of managing multiple IT disciplines i.e. software development, technical support, systems architecture etc.
  • Plan own work with little or no supervision.
  • Coordinate and track multiple activities and work under sustained pressure.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic, Information Technology or Computer Engineering with a minimum of 10 years’ post degree experience.
  • Certification in IT systems, IT Project Management and ITIL.
  • Other certifications; CCNA, CCNP, MCSE.
  • A good understanding of Control and telecommunication systems. Exceptional communication skills are essential in order to explain complex IT concepts to non-technical Colleagues.
