We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Social Media Executive Location: Lagos Key Responsibilities

  • Implementing Spark and Light’s social media strategy
  • Daily management of our clients’ social media accounts including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Youtube and LinkedIn.
  • Help the Social Media Manager to plan and develop social media campaigns and strategies
  • Scheduling and posting content across social media channels
  • Support in the implementation of River Island’s paid social media strategy
  • Uploading and optimising daily content on Site Manager including blog posts, , tags, related posts and competition terms
  • Idea generation supporting weekly trade messages and marketing campaigns
  • Management of intern process and resource
  • Out-of-hours posting on mornings, evenings and weekends where required
  • Monitor social media sentiment across networks to ensure positive brand tracking
  • Track owned social media performance and that of our key competitors weekly
  • Report, track and measure all activity in with performance metrics and benchmarks
  • Work alongside Creative and Web Studio to create original social content e.g. video/gifs/images.
  • Attend departmental meetings
  • Liaise with the Content, Creative & E-commerce teams to secure Marketing content is featured on respective LP/ HP/ Email where possible
  • Develop and oversee an engaging creative tone of voice for social channels
  • Liaising with senior stakeholders across a multitude of departments, managing expectations and protecting social strategy
  • Driving social acquisition to achieve revenue targets
  • Monitor social channels and respond appropriately to customer questions and complaints
  • Monitor and report on how our clients social media channels and campaigns are performing
  • Briefing design teams and collating assets for social media content and campaigns
  • Reporting and analysis of key campaign activity
  • Assist in the day-to-day running of Social Media pages, posting relevant and timely content on a daily basis
Key Skills & Requirements
  • Minimum of one year's experience in a similar role or relevant degree
  • Proven knowledge and experience of social media channels and management platforms
  • Experience in setting up, communicating and managing organic and paid social media communities, including Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Google+ and Instagram
  • Ability to think creatively
  • Self motivated and proactive
  • Creative thinker with an understanding of marketing discipline
  • Digital industry knowledge
  • Excellent creative writing skills
  • Good time management skills with the ability to plan, organise and prioritise tasks under pressure to meet deadlines

  • Excellent communication and networking skills at all levels
  • Self motivated and proactive
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Ability to integrate digital and social media into campaign activity
  • Although this is a Social Media role, you will not necessarily need to have previous social media experience, Considerations will be given to someone who has a passion for Social Media and can show samples of their own efforts, such as blogs or channels.
  • Experience of generating insight from social media tools to improve marketing effectiveness, innovation and proposition development
  • Any professional marketing/social media qualifications would be advantageous.
  • Experience using Photoshop and video editing tools (eg. Final Cut) would be a significant advantage
Job Title: Events Coordinator Location: Lagos Key Responsibilities
  • Working in the overall planning, execution and commercial viability of a variety of events
  • Researching suitable venues, hosts/speakers and entertainment for events
  • Working with the marketing and design teams to assist the implementation of the marketing campaign for each event, requiring a sound knowledge of associated processes
  • Working with the client to produce high quality event literature, including thorough checking of all copy e.g. entry brochures, booking forms, tickets, programmes etc
  • Dealing with incoming enquiries for events and corresponding with entrants, judges, table bookers and sponsors
  • Attending meetings with clients and producing minutes for all meetings as necessary
  • Ensuring all administration for the event is completed in a timely and accurate fashion, to include processing/cataloguing of entries and table/delegate bookings, ensuring all revenue for the event has been processed correctly, contracting and invoicing of sponsors, and co-ordination of judging, travel and accommodation arrangements as necessary
  • Co-ordinating the production of all event signage with the appropriate logos/messages etc
  • Carry out maintenance checks and walk-rounds timely to identify and report defects, hazards, injuries, equipment or processes that negatively affect the operations
  • Assisting the client in selecting menus, room layouts and table plans
  • Booking local hostesses and briefing them accordingly
  • Ensuring compliance with data protection rules
  • Sharing best practice across the events teams
  • Liaising with the production/AV supplier in pre-production and assisting with all aspects of the staging requirements for events
  • Liaising with event sponsors to ensure that their package is honoured and their logo reproduced to their satisfaction on all relevant promotional literature
Key Skills & Requirements
  • The qualified candidate will be enthusiastic, energetic and outgoing with a background in recreation, and/or social event planning.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; significant work experience can substitute for the degree
  • Minimum of 2 years experience of organizing/coordinating events
  • Strong working knowledge of customer service principles and practices. Customer relationship-development and client retention experience a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills including spoken and written English.
  • Exceptional Team Leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Great organisation and administration skills and a real eye for detail
  • Hours are flexible and will include some nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Previous operational knowledge and experience of IT Events Management system preferably
  • Outstanding IT/AV Knowledge
  • Proficient use of the latest version of Microsoft Office
  • Proven ability to handle multiple deadlines.
