We are recruiting to fill the position below:     Job Title: Human Resources Manager (Construction) Location: Kaduna Job Description We are looking for a skilled HR manager, who will:

  • Support business needs and ensure the proper implementation of company strategy and objectives.
  • Promote corporate values and enable business success through human resources management, including job design, recruitment, performance management, training & development, employment cycle changes, talent management, and facilities management services.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process
  • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization
  • Nurture a positive working environment
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
  • Maintain pay plan and benefits program
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital

Requirements
  • BS/MS degree in Human Resources or related field
  • People oriented and results driven
  • Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Proven 5 years’ experience working experience as HR manager in a construction company
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
  • In-depth knowledge of labour law and HR best practices
    Job Title: Procurement Officer (Construction) Location: Kaduna Job Description
  • The position is based in Kaduna. It offers the candidate with an opportunity to take operational ownership of the Procurement function, lower level accountancy duties and other ad hoc duties where necessary.
Requirements
  • Sourcing and ordering materials, hired in plant and site services.
  • Identifying and negotiating cost down opportunities within our supply chain.
  • Source new suppliers and maintain our existing suppliers and sub-contractors data base
  • Processing of Purchase Orders, Supplier database
  • Logistical planning of deliveries and services to accommodate the site management teams.
Experience:
  • 5 years experience in this role, with a construction company
  • Experience in the procurement of site based materials, plant and services, glass, steel, façade
  • Strong background in construction with a good knowledge of accounts up to trial balance
  • Strong understanding of the SAP systems, MS Excel
    Job Title: Civil Engineer Location: Kaduna Job Description The Civil Engineer will be:
  • Responsible for progress and monitoring of all civil works including substructure, superstructure and foundations
  • Oversee the site road network construction
  • Oversee construction of the site village
  • Verify on-site handovers, to verify conformance with the EPC Contracts
  • Work closely with the Project Management Contractor local contractor, to ensure that the approximately 200 km of existing roads will be upgraded to a standard adequate for the delivery of the wind farm equipment on time
Experience and Qualifications
  • A strong background in civil engineering
  • Road construction experience
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a 5 years site based experience is required
  • Provide technical advice regarding design, construction, or program modifications and structural repairs to industrial and managerial personnel.
    Job Title: Shuttering Carpenter (Construction) Location: Kaduna Qualifications
  • SSCE or equivalent qualification
  • The ideal candidates should have 5 years of experience as a Shuttering Carpenter or Construction Carpenter
  • Basic to moderate math skills will be required

Requirements:
  • Experienced in Making wooden constructions- creating formwork or shuttering
  • Interiors works: laying of wooden floors, covering a/o producing of stairs, fixing of windows and doors
  • Experienced in shuttering works - formworks, Shuttering works, Iron binding
  • Candidates must be able to read technical documentation.
    Job Title: Accountant/Book keeper (Construction) Location: Kaduna Job Brief
  • We are looking for a qualified Accountant/Book keeper who will prepare, compute, manage, research and analyse all accounting data, in order to provide quantitative information on performance, financial position, solvency, liquidity and cash flows of our business.
Responsibilities
  • Manage all accounting operations based on accounting principles
  • Prepare budget and financial forecasts
  • Publish financial statements in time
  • Conduct month-end and year-end close process
  • Collect, analyse and summarize account information
  • Compute taxes and prepare tax returns, balance sheet, profit/loss statement etc.
  • Develop periodic reports for management
  • Audit financial transactions and document accounting control procedures
  • Keep information confidential and secure them with random database backups

Requirements
  • Background in construction accounting.
  • Proven 4-5 year working experience as an accountant /bookkeeper
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures
  • Excellent accounting software user
  • Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Degree in Accounting or related discipline
  • Member of an accounting professional body is a criteria.
