Osun State University (UNIOSUN) was established by the Law of the Osun State House of Assembly in December, 2006. The University commenced academic activities on 22d September, 2007 simultaneously on permanent sites on its six campuses located in the six geo-po1tical zones of Osun State. The campuses are located in Osogbo, (Main Campus), Ejigbo, Ifetedo, Ikire, Ipetu..Ijesa and Okuku. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the vacant positions below:   Job Title: Procurement Officer Location: Osun Responsibilities The Procurement Officer shall be directly responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the day-to-day performance of his duties which among others include:

  • Supervising, monitoring and coordinating the activities of the Procurement Unit;
  • Preparing a Procurement Plan for the University on short and long term basis;
  • Preparing report for Management on quarterly and annual basis;
  • Preparing memoranda for procurement procedures;
  • Keeping procurement records of the University;
  • Implementing all procurement processes in line with Public Procurement Act 2017.
Qualifications
  • Candidates must possess a First Degree in any of the following: Purchasing and Supply, Economics, Marketing, Quantity Survey, Business Administration, Accounting or any other related field.
  • Possession of higher degree and relevant professional qualifications will be an added advantage.

  • Be free from any moral, social or financial embarrassment;

    Job Title: Bursar Location: Osun Job Description
  • The Bursar will be the Chief Financial Officer of the Unlversit and controls the Financial Affairs of the University, across its Campuses.
  • The Bursar is a Principal Officer who also serves as a member of the University Management Committee.
  • The Bursar is the head of the University Bursary.
  • He will be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day to day administration and control of the University financial affairs.
The Candidate
  • The Candidate must be a person of high Integrity and strong moral character with excellent interpersonal relations.
  • She/He must be able to instill confidence in others and command the loyalty and respect of people.
  • She/he must fully understand the complexity of the university system and must be able to effectively utilize its human resources to attain a world class financial system.
  • She/he must enjoy good physical and mental health.
  • She/he must be ICT compliant.
Qualifications The Candidate must:
  • Possess a good honours degree in Accounting, Economics, Financial Management or other related discipline from recognized tertiary institutions,
  • Be a member of professionally recognized Accounting body, and must possess professional qualifications such as: CAN, ACMA, AC CPA. ACCA, ANA
  • Have a minimum of fifteen (15) years cognate experience and Ten (10) years of post-professional qualification experience, in addition, holding the position of Deputy Bursar in a university or Research institute of comparable standing will be an added advantage;
  • Enjoy good physical and mental health;
  • Not be older than 60 years as at the date of this publication,

Terms of Appointment
  • Appointment is for a period of five years effective from the date of assumption of duty and on such other terms and conditions as may be specified in the letter of appointment.
  • The salary is as applicable to similar positions in Federal Universities in Nigeria and as may be determined by the Government of the State of Osun and Council of Osun State University from time to time.
    Job Title: Director of Audit Location: Osun Duties
  • The Director of Audit shall be directly responsible to the Vice-Chancellor in the day to day performance of his duties.
  • He shall advise the Management on adequacy of internal control and write periodic report to the Vice-Chancellor.
  • He/She shall provide the required leadership in the Directorate.
Vision Statement
  • The Candidate should as well state categorically and in not more than 500 words the vision statement for the University for the next five (5) years.
Qualifications
  • Candidates must possess First Degree in Accountancy, Business Administration, Economics, Banking and Finance or any other relevant University First degree plus fifteen (15) years post qualification cognate experience or
  • Possession of First and Master's Degree in Accountancy, Business Administration, Economics, Bank and Finance or other relevant University First degree plus twelve (12) years cognate experience
  • in addition candidates must be professionally qualified by being a Chartered Member of any of the appropriate professional bodies, with 10 years post qualification experience, such as:
    • Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (lCAN)
    • Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN)
    • Association of Certified Accountants (ACA)
    • Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
    • Association of Certified and Management Accountants (ACMA)
Required Personal Attributes:
  • The Director must be a person of high Integrity and moral character with excellent interpersonal relations;
  • He/She must be capable of instilling confidence in others and command the loyalty and respect of people;
  • He/She must enjoy good physical and mental health;
  • In addition, he/she must be able to provide good professional leadership to the staff of the Directorate.
    Job Title: Registrar Location: Osun Job Description
  • The Registrar is a Principal Officer and the Chief Administrative Officer of the University.
  • She/he Is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day to day administration of the University except for financial matters which fall within the purview of the Bursar,
  • The Registrar is also the Secretary to Council, Senate, Congregation and Convocation and other statutory bodies.

  • She/he must fully understand the complexity of a University system and must be able to effectively utilize its human resources to attain a world class administrative system.

Qualifications The Candidate must:
  • Possess a good honours degree and at least fifteen (15) years post qualification administrative experience;
  • Should have been at a level of Deputy Registrar in a University or Research Institute of comparable standing for a minimum of three (3) years as at the closing date of this advertisement;
  • Possess a Master’s degree In a relevant discipline;
  • Professional qualification(s) In an appropriate held(s) will be an added advantage;
  • Be not older than 60 years as at the date of this publication
