  • The Data Analyst is responsible for research, data analysis and development of final data products resulting from information collected on JAMA.
  • The successful candidate will play a key role in improving the quality of products and services offered by JAMA
Research Design:
  • Successfully develop a structured task selection process that will ensure job consistency on the JAMA platform.
  • Develop a framework for tracking JAMMER recruitment to ensure geographical and demographical balance.
  • Support JAMA clients in setting research objectives, process, and evaluation criteria as well as a mechanism for measuring research success
Data Analysis:
  • Invent or adopt a suitable data analytics tool, ensuring that collected data is analysed seamlessly to generate a variety of findings
  • Oversee and ensure safety of data, especially Personal Identifiable Information (PII) per JAMA privacy statement.
  • Successfully develop a mechanism to ensure all JAMA search results are converted to eye catching infographics.
General Product Support:
  • Set a roadmap and work closely with product team for consistent data products development
  • Work closely with sales team to generate leads based on need and available information on our segments.
  • Consistently provide assets for marketing and communications team to support the market penetration and product visibility.
  • Provide required support that will enable clients make quick decisions.
Qualifications & Characteristics
  • Bachelor's Degree in Statistics or Data Sciences.
  • Currently Serving or completed NYSC
  • Strong understanding and delivery of market data research analysis and possible outcomes
  • Self-starter, comfortable working in a matrix organization and with virtual teams.

      Job Title: Marketing and Communications Strategist Location: Lagos About the Role
  • Responsible for planning, development, and implementation of all of the Organization’s marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public relations activities, both external and internal.
  • Oversees development and implementation of support materials and services in marketing, communications and public relations. Directs the efforts of the marketing, communications and public relations staff and coordinates at the strategic and tactical levels with the other functions of the Organization to ensure constant lead generation and organisation visibility.
Primary Relationships
  • The position reports to the Business Manager and serves as a member of the GETJAMA management team.
  • This position participates with the senior management team and other management staff in charting the direction of the Organization, assuring its accountability to all constituencies, and ensuring its effective operation.
  • Within the Organization, the position has primary working relationships with the Business Manager, Technical Support Team, staff of the Marketing/Communications/P.R. function, and the service providers.
  • Outside the organisation, the position coordinates, primarily, with the media and audience engagement practitioners.
Principle Accountabilities Marketing, communications and public relations:
  • Responsible for creating, implementing and measuring the success of: a comprehensive marketing, communications and public relations program that will enhance the Organization’s image and position within the marketplace and the general public, and facilitate internal and external communications; and, all Organization marketing, communications and public relations activities and materials including publications, media relations, client acquisition and so forth.
  • Ensure articulation of Organization’s desired image and position, assure consistent communication of image and position throughout the Organization, and assure communication of image and position to all constituencies, both internal and external.
  • Responsible for editorial direction, design, production and distribution of all Organization publications.
  • Coordinate media interest in the Organization and ensure regular contact with target media and appropriate response to media requests.
  • Act as the Organization’s representative with the media.
  • Coordinate the appearance of all Organization print and electronic materials such as letterhead, use of logo, brochures, etc.
  • Develop, coordinate and oversee programs, technical assistance and resource materials to assist chapters in the marketing, communications and positioning of their activities.
  • Ensure that the Organization regularly conducts relevant market research and coordinate and oversee this activity. Monitor trends.
  • Leads projects as assigned, such as cause-related marketing and special events.
Planning and budgeting:
  • Responsible for the achievement of marketing/communications/public relations mission, goals and financial objectives. Ensure that evaluation systems are in place related to these goals and objectives and report progress to the Executive Director and Board.
  • Develop short- and long-term plans and budgets for the marketing/communications/ public relations program and its activities, monitor progress, assure adherence and evaluate performance.
  • Recommend short- and long-term Organization goals and objectives to the Business Manager
  • Develop, implement and monitor systems and procedures necessary to the smooth operation of the marketing/communications/public relations function.
  • Keep informed of developments in the fields of marketing, communications and public relations, not-for-profit management and governance, [and the specific business of the Organization and use this information to help the Organization operate with initiative and innovation.
Organizational strategy:
  • Work with senior staff, other staff and volunteers to:
    • Develop and maintain a strategic perspective - based on marketplace and constituent needs and satisfaction - in organizational direction, program and services, and decision-making; and,
    • Ensure the overall health and vitality of the Organization.
  • Help make sure that the Organization’s philosophy, mission and vision are pertinent and practiced throughout the organization.
  • Develop and coordinate means to seek regular input from the Organization’s key constituencies regarding the quality of programs and services and the Organization’s relevance.
  • Help formulate and administer policies to ensure the integrity of the Organization.
  • Act as an internal consultant to bring attention and solutions to institutional priorities.
Managing:
  • Maintain a climate that attracts, retains and motivates top quality personnel, both paid and volunteer.
  • Recruit, train, appraise, supervise, support, develop, promote and guide qualified personnel, both paid and volunteer.
  • Ensure effective management within the marketing, communications and public relations function, with provision for succession.
  • Design, support and oversee cross-functional teams throughout the Organization.
  • Effectively enable volunteers and staff so they can take action on behalf of the Organization by:
    • Transmitting the Organization’s values, vision and direction;
    • Engaging people in the meaning of the Organization;
    • Respecting and using the skills, expertise, experience and insights of people;

Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in marketing, communications or public relations with demonstrated success, preferably in the IT services or association sector.
  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, public relations preferred. Graduate degree in a related field is desirable.
  • Experience working with volunteers is desirable.
  • Membership in marketing associations like ADVAN desired.
  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of marketing, communications, and public relations activities.
  • Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational and personal sales skills.
  • Experience developing and managing budgets, and hiring, training, developing, supervising, and appraising personnel.
  • Demonstrated successful experience writing press releases, making presentations and negotiating with media.
  • Experience overseeing the design and production of print materials and publications.
  • Computer literacy in word processing, data base management and page layout.
  • Commitment to working with shared leadership and in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
  • Out-of-town, overnight travel is required.
  Job Title: Research Associate Location: Lagos About the Research Associate Role
  • The Research Associate will be responsible for design and execution of all research projects from planning to completion. Such projects might include; client focused studies, internal research products and general guidance for data collection and analysis.
  • The successful candidate will play a key role in improving the quality of products and services offered by GETJAMA while charting a direction for our journey towards becoming a one stop shop for insightful data in Africa.

  • This position participates with the senior management team and other management staff in charting the direction of the Organization, assuring its accountability to all constituencies, and ensuring its effective operation.
  • Within the Organization, the position has primary working relationships with the Business Manager, Data Analyst, and other support staff
  • Outside the organisation, the position coordinates, primarily, with the data buying community as well as general public to understand possible data needs
Responsibilities
  • Plans, organizes, and conducts research in scientific, cultural, historical, or artistic field for use in own work or in project of sponsoring institution: Develops plans for project or studies guidelines for project prepared by professional staff member to outline research procedures to be followed.
  • Plans schedule according to variety of methods to be used, availability and quantity of resources, and number of subordinate personnel assigned to participate in project.
  • Conducts research, utilizing JAMA Platform, archives, and collections, and other sources of information, to collect, record, analyse, and evaluate facts.
  • Discusses findings with other personnel to evaluate validity of findings.
  • Supervise analysis and report preparations for publication and distribution among subscription clients, for presentation to client requesting project, or for use in further applied or theoretical research activities.
Qualifications & Characteristics
  • At least 3-years’ experience in research design, data collection and management – technology enabled research preferable
  • Completed NYSC
  • Self-starter, comfortable working in a matrix organization and with virtual teams.
  • Proven proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and basic understanding of data analytic tools
  • Outstanding written and spoken communication skills as well as good listening skills.
