Lead Carpenter In a Leading Furniture and Interior Company

A Leading Furniture and Interior company located in Ogun State, is currently recruiting to fill the position below:     Job Title: Lead Carpenter (Assembler) Location: Ogun Responsibilities

• Prepare drawings for cabinetry, framing and other construction projects on-site
• Interpret client requests and provide mock-ups for clients to approve prior to commencing work
• Build cabinets, vanities, tub and shower surrounds and other projects based on demand
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
• Reviews production schedules and confers with department head to define production priorities, availability of raw materials, equipment/ tools and personnel in the assembly process.
• Examines parts during machining assembly & directs workers to change machine setup or work techniques to eliminate defects. In case of defects, reroutes for reworking.
• Frame room additions as needed for client
• Install cabinets, counters and molding
• Follow all code requirements for kitchens and baths in remodeling projects
• Determines amount, type and availability of subassemblies supplies required for assembly.
• Examines samples of assembled to make sure conformance to specifications and instructs workers in methods of correcting defects.

• Minimum of OND, Trade test, Vocational Certificate in Carpentry
• Ability to co-ordinate activities in the unit.
• 5 years of experience in Furniture company
• Ability to read and write effectively
