  • The Legal Officer will also work as the Compliance/Research & Development Officer.
Job Description
  • Explain the legal issues that may arise due to certain reasons
  • Set plans to manage a crisis or compliance violation
  • Address employee concerns or questions on legal compliance
  • Collect data on consumers, competitors and market place and consolidate information into actionable items, reports and presentations
  • Compile and analyze statistical data using modern and traditional methods to collect it
  • Develops and implements research and development procedures and techniques
  • Oversees complex research projects, analyzes results and provides recommendations based on findings.
  • Assesses the scope of research projects and ensures they are on time and within budget
  • Conduct private investigation when needed
  • Interpret data, formulate reports and make recommendations
  • And any other duties as assigned.
  • Stay updated with the information related to the laws and legal processes
  • Advise the company’s management on the ways to avoid legal issues from arising
  • Offer legal interpretation service to the company’s management on different factors on the present laws and regulatory needs
  • Review the legal matters of the company and work upon managing them efficiently
  • Draft and revise company policies
  • Develop and implement an effective legal compliance program
  • Create sound internal controls and monitor adherence to them
Qualification Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Legal Officer
  • Knowledge of constitution, legal terminology, regulations and court system
  • Knowledge of MS Office and ability to work with legal technology (court-filing computer systems, transcription software, dictaphone etc)
  • Proficiency in English
  • Outstanding time-management and typing skills
  • Ability to multitask and being comfortable dealing with a diverse pool of people
  • Professional certificate will be an added advantage
  • Should be good in Statistics and researching
  • Bachelor's degree in Law.
