Stresert Services Limited - Our client is looking to staff a project office for a government empowerment programs. Hence, we are looking for a competent and dedicated individual for one year contract position for the role of:     Job Title: Manager, Data Verification and Processing Job Ref: MDVP Location: Abuja Contract: One year contract only Job Purpose

  • To give strategic direction and leadership to all aspects of data verification, registration and documentation process
  • To promote the highest standards of business ethos within the data verification and processing function of the program and ensure the most effective use of verification and processing resources in support of the program objectives
Key Outputs:
  • Verification Report

Key Responsibilities Areas Management/Administrative Responsibilities:
  • Formulate, implement, and enforce proper data collection policies and procedures
  • Establish data quality standards and work with the data verification analysts to ensure standards are met
  • Ensure quality data collection techniques are being followed by enumerator agencies
  • Educate and train data analysts, enumerators and field monitoring teams on proper data collection processes where required
Technical/Professional Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the data (whitelist) system is consistently operational with minimal downtime
  • Provide access to data verification analysts to submit data
  • Assist verification analysts with set-up, testing, and implementation of data verification applications
  • Troubleshoot data submission errors and resolve data error issues
  • Ensure that all verification analysts’ updates are properly installed and rolled out
  • Perform and document procedures for data preparation including data cleaning, standardization and analysis
  • Help develop data collection and evaluation methodologies, including format design, project criteria and requirements, data compilation, relevancy and usage.
  • Develop and implement evaluation methodology to determine completeness and adequacy of the data collection procedure.
Performance Standards:
  • Key deliverables are produced within agreed timeframes to required standards.
  • Verification reports are comprehensive and submitted within established timeframe.
Organisational Relationships:
  • Directly reports to: Chief Operating Officer (COO)
  • Directly supervises: Data Verification Analysts
Minimum Required Job Specifications Academic and Professional:
  • First degree (or its equivalent) in Computer Science, Statistics, Public Health, Social Management Science or a related field.
  • A Master's degree and/or Professional Certification would be an added advantage.
Experience:
  • Five or more years of experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial/supervisory position
  • Demonstrable experience of similar work and working in a data capture and customer focused environment

Key Responsibilities Areas Management/Administrative Responsibilities:
  • Oversee response to media enquiries, interviews etups, media logistics management at events and closely monitoring all media coverage of the program.
  • Maintain the program’s database of media contacts, and identifying gaps in the program’s engagement with specific outlets and platforms and seeking to develop new relationships.
  • Identify opportunities for press coverage around events and specific publications and working with colleagues to develop targeted media strategies, including drafting press releases and pitching op-eds.
  • Oversee the distribution of media resources (press releases and invitations) to stakeholders, and working to make this form of communication more targeted and effective.
Technical/Professional Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a key media contact and work actively with the program’s Brand Management Vendor to enhance and cultivate relationships with the media, particularly within top tier business press and leading trade publications, and facilitate media interviews with leadership.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of an integrated communications strategy aligned to the program’s priorities and operating plan for outreach, impact and feedback.
  • Build and manage a high-performance communications function that is structured, and focused for productive and quality work.
  • Engage and participate in client-facing activities (e.g. conference participation, sponsorships) to further strengthen the program’s brand in the marketplace.
  • Prepare spokespeople and project leaders for media interviews and speaking engagements by creating detailed briefing books - including key messages and talking points - and providing refresher media training as appropriate, facilitating and coordinating more in-depth media training for spokespeople when required.
  • Manage external PR agency resources.

Key Responsibilities Areas Technical/Professional Responsibilities:
  • Implementing the project office social media strategy.
  • Coordinate with media agency in developing engaging, creative, innovative content for regularly scheduled posts, which enlighten audiences and promote brand-focused messages.
  • Monitor and develop reports on program’s activities within the social media spaces.
  • Analyse social media campaigns with tracking systems to gather visitor data and determine efficacy and areas for social media campaign improvement.
  • Monitor the news output of all major TV, radio stations, print and social media sites.
  • Assist the partnership and sales department in desk research and preparation of briefs.

Job Purpose
  • To facilitate and process all registration details for applicants to the program.
  • To identify and escalate as appropriate queries arising from the verification process ensuring that only applicants with verified and appropriate ID are entered on the whitelist.

Key Responsibilities Areas Technical/Professional Responsibilities:
  • Develop a complete understanding of the objectives and purpose of monitoring tasks and ensure that the program’s objectives are duly shared with the target audience/stakeholders.
  • Based on the monitoring plan, prepare a monthly field plan for monitoring of enumeration activities and ensure that deadlines and targets are achieved and all the relevant information is collected.
  • Carry out field monitoring visits to collect data, on predesigned monitoring instruments, through observation, personal interviews and taking photograph
  • Compile and hand over completed monitoring instruments/forms to the Field Operations Manager along with additional notes and photographs.
  • Update the Manager of the assignment on the progress of monitoring events through weekly reports and contribute in development of monthly monitoring reports.
  • Escalate and take remedial action in case of any issue related to implementation of monitoring tasks
