Applications are invited for the position below:     Job Title: Foreman Mechanic Ref: IITA-HR-NRS2018-0023 Location: Ibadan, Oyo Recruitment Type: National (3-year renewable contract) Duties Successful candidate will among other things perform the following duties:

• Repair, service and overhaul agricultural Tractors;
• Maintain and repair field/static production equipment;
• Repair and overhaul special application equipment;
• Repair and service all kind of threshing machine;
• Repair and maintain tractors, farm implements and fuel dispensing pump;
• Prepare monthly charge back and report on the equipment being serviced;
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• B.Sc/HND in Mechanical Engineering or related fields with minimum of five (5) years' experience performing similar or related role in a structured organization.

Competencies The ideal candidate must:

• Have good knowledge of agricultural machineries.
• Have good interpersonal skill.
• Be honest and hardworking.
• Have experience in repairs and servicing of fuel dispensing pump.

• Perform Oracle input for RFPs, MRI etc;
• Develop travel advance and expense claims for scientist and other team members working in the two building;
• Assist building wardens for the two buildings and report issues within building to Head West African Hub;
• Perform logistics, prepare travel plans, accommodation plans and other activities related to events the Hub Administration office has been assigned to do;
• Liaise with external hosted organizations i.e Inqaba;
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• B.Sc/HND in Social Sciences, Secretarial Studies or related fields with minimum of four (4) years’ experience performing similar or related role in a structured organization.

• Successful candidate will among other things perform the following duties:
• Plan preventive, repair and maintain all water plants, drinking water place, sewage and swimming pool plants;
• Install and maintain multi-stage vertical turbine and surface Pumps and Blowers;
• Maintain associated appliances such as Aerators, Compressors and level control systems;
• Initiate treatment plans and supervise the supply of about 1.2 million litres of high quality drinking water per day;
• Supervise treatment and safe discharge of about 8,000 litres of waste water per day;
• Treat and maintain high quality swimming pool water of about 385,000 litres;
• Ensure quality control of all waters: drinking, sewage and swimming Pool;
• Initiate procedures for purchase of spare parts and treatment chemicals;
• Supervise water treatment operation and the management of staff;
• Carry out other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications

•  B.Sc/HND in MechanicalWater Engineering, Biochemistry or related fields with minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in a reputable water treatment plant.

Competencies The ideal candidate must:

• Have good knowledge of water plants maintenance and treatment techniques.
• Have good interpersonal skill.
• Be honest, trustworthy and hardworking and be able to coordinate shift duties.
