We are recruiting to fill the position below:     Job Title: Technician I - Advanced (Level 3) Location: Nationwide Job Summary

  • Technician level 3 performs all of the duties of a Technician level 2, follows direction from supervisors, works well with fellow employees, interacts appropriately with the public, and completes all tasks quickly and safely with a high degree of quality.
Job Description
  • Understand the proper usage of basic hand and power tools
  • Mastery of the color code
  • Full knowledge of fiber optic cables (single-mode/multimode
  • Able to properly strip and enter a fiber optic cable
  • Can perform bare-end fiber testing
  • Comfortable building a variety of fiber optic splice cases
  • Can perform proper grounding and bonding
  • Mastery with single and ribbon fiber splicing
  • Able to ribbonize a fiber bundle
  • Perform full/complex case audits
  • Take notes, fully/accurately red line paperwork & fill out job final paperwork (Conformance testing/JPR/QIF)
  • Able to test fibers using OTDR and Power meter/light source
  • Able to examine, explain and compile test data for customer
  • Able to work independently
  • Very comfortable reading CTL prints and terminology
  • Proficient troubleshooting skills
  • Willingness to train level 1 and 2 technicians.
      Job Title: Technician III - Apprentice/Entry (Level 1) Location: Nationwide Job Description
  • Able to complete job hazard analysis paperwork for each job site each day
  • Understand and setup work area protection as needed
  • Able to proficiently prepare and complete daily production sheets and redline job prints
  • Understand the proper usage of basic hand and power tools
  • Have a working understanding of the color code
  • Able to decipher fiber optic cable types (single-mode/multimode)
  • Able to properly strip and enter a fiber optic cable
  • Familiarity with Corning splice cases.
  • Able to build a splice case, label, dress and splice fiber optic cables
  • Basic OTDR and power meter/light source knowledge
  • Able to work independently on occasion
  • Become familiar with CTL prints and terminology
  • Ability to work in confined spaces
  • Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work with internal and external customers
  • Must have strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively communicate with product vendors and customers
  • Ability to work from oral or written instructions and plan work without direct supervision
  • Possess proficient personal computer operations skills
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and in various hours of the day or night and holidays as required
  • Must be able to respond to after-hours callouts, work overtime, shifts and weekends
  • Comply with all safety regulations and meet safety requirements to maintain a successful safety record
  • Assume all duties as assigned
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
      Job Title: Technician II - Intermediate (Level 2) Location: Nationwide Job Summary

  • Can install single fusion splice on connectors
  • Able to work independently
  • Familiar with CTL prints and terminology

  • Perform minor case audits
  • Take notes & update paperwork as needed.
