We are recruiting to fill the position of:     Job Title: Chief Security Officer Location: Abuja Job Type: Full time Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages and provide effective leadership to the security team.
  • Ensure adequate professional training of security operatives.
  • Act as liaison officer between the company, clients and other agencies
  • Supervision of security operatives.
  • Carryout background vetting of operatives.
  • To maintain the Security Operations
  • Ensure that the appropriate level of training is provided for all security staff on disasters; fire and bomb procedures; use of technical equipment and routine security duties
  • Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
  • Obtains help by sounding alarms.
  • Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.
  • Controls traffic by directing drivers.
  • Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.
  • Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.
  • Maintains organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
  • Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Ensure zero tolerance to security breach and failure, e.g. Theft and Burglary
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree/HND/OND may apply.
  • 6 to 10+ years of experience in security field either in corporate security/law enforcement /military.

  • The main purpose of the job is to market VKA insurance products, fulfil the company’s vision and mission by increasing the company’s profitability, retaining and attracting clients, promoting and protecting our brand.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide updates to the regional manager regarding operating results, insurance trends, and competitor/market intelligence
  • Keep informed of changes and trends within the industry for the purpose of anticipating and responding to profit objectives
  • Respond to and follow-up on sales enquiries by post, telephone and personal visits with respect to the assigned clients/Brokers
  • Focus on the Corporate businesses of our economy, with the aim of increasing our market share
  • Maintain and develop existing and new customers through planned individual account support and liaising with back office for prompt service delivery and customer satisfaction Prepare weekly reports, call plans and call memos
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the Regional Head
  • Responsible for the overall management and daily operation of the branch office, including the development, growth, profitability and smooth operation of the business
  • Develop additional or new businesses from existing accounts or assigned leads and contribute to meeting branch production goals
  • Plan and carry out direct marketing activities to enhance our market share with the Brokers
  • Responsible for the collection of premiums in compliance with set goals
  • Provide technical knowledge and expertise to branch office personnel regarding appropriate coverage
  • Responsible for overseeing and implementing branch standard operating procedures and adhering to regulatory and quality control review processes
  • Follow up on claims processing with all relevant stakeholders for prompt turnaround time
  • Provide excellent service, trust and confidence to our customers
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in sales of insurance product with track record of success.
  • Bachelor's degree, HND in related field
  • Additional qualification i.e CIIN desirable.
