Job For HSE Advisor In A Reputable Construction/Facility Management Company

Afordonz Consulting Limited - Our client who specializes in Construction and Facilities Management is seeking to fill the position below:

Job Title: HSE Advisor Location: Lagos Job Description/Responsibilities Core functions include but not limited to:

In addition, you will prepare monthly reports and make presentations to management. Coordinate compliance reviews, general risk assessments and other safety assessments to support health, safety and environmental management
Develop scope, objectives, work plans, priorities and schedule for assessments/ audit activities
Coordinate the development and presentation of relevant HSE training
Maintain positive and proactive relations with management, employees and host communities
You will be responsible for developing and implementing organizational safety policies and programs.
You will review and update institutional HSE policies and conduct risk assessments to detect potential hazards and plan precautionary measures.
You will be responsible for writing HSE manuals for the organization.
To continually maintain an appropriate level of awareness, knowledge and preparedness across the organization,
You will coordinate training programs for employees and educating workers about site-specific safety measures.

Requirements

Minimum of a second class Upper bachelor's degree in Science/Engineering or equivalent with additional professional qualifications in HSE, Fire & Safety Management Systems
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in similar capacity.
Candidate must have led a team before coupled with superior customer relationship management skills.

Personal Attributes:

Strong leadership skills, Good oral and written communication skills; strong service orientation; good team player; excellent vendor interface skills; good problem solving skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
