  • We are seeking for a Sound Operation Assistant. This position is local position and opens to indigenous and/or legal residents of Nigeria.
Summary of Position
  • The Sound Operation Assistant shall work under the direct supervision of the Assistant Director, Audiovisual & Technical Services in assisting the Senior Director of University Events & Ceremonies in the planning and management of all university events and ceremonies and all other events as may be requested by other departments.
  • He/she will assist in the implementation of AUN sound (audio) programs by providing audio-visual support to faculty and students using available resources in accordance with the policies and procedures of the university.
Position Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree, Higher National Diploma (HND) or vocational qualification in related subjects such as sound technology, sound engineering, physics, electrical engineering and media/sound production.
  • Three to Five years’ experience in sound technology management
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Great ability and willingness to work under stress and extended hours (including weekends/public holidays)
Other Requirements, Abilities for the Position:
  • Sound Operation Assistant must have technical ability and a detailed knowledge of the science of sound.
  • Knowledge of word processing and other basic office applications
  • General knowledge of information technology devices
  • General knowledge of audiovisual equipment
  • General knowledge of software packages used in the Audio-Visual Support Unit.
  • Sound Technician and Operation Assistant must have specialized skills on digital sound equipment with five years practical experience.
      Job Title: Staff Nurse Location: Yola, Adamawa Department: AUN Health Center Job Description
  • We are seeking for a Staff Nurse. This position is local position and opens to indigenous and/or legal residents of Nigeria.
Summary of Position
  • The Staff Nurses at the AUN HC shall work with the HC team directly under the Head Nurse AUN HC to provide clinical and medical support for the doctor and to the patients at the AUN HC to ensure the Health & Wellness of students and all other members of the AUN Community. This is a full time position.
Position Requirements
  • Nursing Certificate
  • Valid License to practice/Nursing registration
  • One to three years of direct work experience
  • Basic Nursing Ethic
  • Ability to undertake self-directed tasks when necessary.
  • Flexible with time.
  • Ability to learn
  • Attention to detail.
  • Capacity to prioritize by assessing situations to determine urgency.

  • Skill in developing and maintaining effective working relationships.

  • The American University of Nigeria, Yola, is seeking for a Consulting Physician. This position is local position and opens to indigenous and/or legal residents of Nigeria.
Summary of Position
  • The AUN HC Consulting Physician is charged with the responsibility of providing medical care services at the AUN HC and shall also work in collaboration with other departments/units of the University to ensure the Health & Wellness of students and all other members of the AUN Community.
Requirements for the Position
  • Bachelor degree in medicine from an accredited school and license to practice medicine in Nigeria
  • Fellowship in internal medicine
  • Minimum ten years of direct work experience
  • Work effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions to enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Ability to undertake self-directed tasks when necessary.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to be on time for appointments
  • Good customer relationship and ability to create rapport with patient.
  • Ability to provide 20 hours of service in a week.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Capacity to prioritize by assessing situations to determine urgency.
  • Ability to develop a work schedule, set goals, creates / implements actions plans and monitor progress towards goals.
  • Ability to make clear, timely decisions.
