We are recruiting to fill the position below:     Job Title: Program Manager Location: Damboa, Borno Duration: 7 months Position Overview

  • The program manager will be Under the direct supervision of the project Director, The Programme Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of the whole of the proposed change, co-ordination of the program’s projects and management of child protection activities in the Organization.
Role and Responsibility
  • Coordinates program officers
  • Overview of whole program
  • Directs work plan
  • Ensure project activities are on schedule and on budget
  • Write monthly report
  • Coordinates case workers
  • Allocates cases
  • Checks case workers files
  • Monitors case workers in the field
  • Coordinates referrals with CP Officers
  • Facilitates data entry into CPiMS.

Qualifications Education:
  • A university degree/HND or Diploma in one of the following fields is required: International development, human rights, psychology, sociology, international law, or any other related social science field.
Experience:
  • A minimum of 1 years of professional experience in social development, planning and management in child protection related areas is required.
  • Experience in emergency response is essential.
  • Relevant experience in programme development in child protection related areas in a non-governmental organization is as an asset.
  • Experience in both development and humanitarian contexts is an added advantage.
  • Proficient and experienced in planning, monitoring and reporting of project activities in relevant field in multi-stakeholder partnerships and collaborations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, networking, communication, negotiation and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to compose, edit, analyse and report program progress using complex information.
  • Excellent computer skills
Language Requirements:
  • Fluency in English, Hausa and Kanuri is required.
    Job Title: Child Protection Officer Location: Damboa, Borno Duration: 7 months Slot: 2 Openings Position Overview
  • Under the direction of the Child Protection Coordinator, the Child Protection Officer is responsible for performing duties of Intake, Protection, Child Care and Emergency responses including After Hours as may be required.
Role and Responsibility
  • Conduct/update situation analysis for the program sector/s for development, design and management of child protection related programs/projects. Research and report on development trends and (economic, social, health etc.) data for use in program development, management, monitoring, evaluation and delivery of results.
  • Contribute to the development/establishment of sectorial program goals, objectives and strategies and results-based planning through research, collection, analysis and reporting of child protection and other related information for development planning and priority and goal setting.
  • Provide technical and operational support throughout all stages of programming processes by executing/administering a variety of technical, program, operational and administrative transactions, preparing related materials/documentations and complying with organizational processes and management systems, to support program planning, results-based planning (RBM) and monitoring and evaluating results.
  • Prepare required program documentations/materials/data to facilitate the program review and approval process.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with internal and external colleagues and partners to discuss operational and implementation issues, provide solutions, recommendations and/or alert appropriate officials and stakeholders for higher-level intervention and/or decision.
  • Keep record of reports and assessments for easy reference and/or to capture and institutionalize lessons learned.
  • Participate in monitoring and evaluation exercises, program reviews and annual reviews with government and other counterparts to assess programs/projects and to report on required action/interventions at the higher level of program management.
  • Prepare regular/mandated sectorial program/project reports for management, donors and partners to keep them informed of program progress.
  • Conduct regular program field visits and surveys and/or exchange information with partners/stakeholders to assess progress and provide technical support, take appropriate action to resolve issues and/or refer to relevant officials for resolution. Report on critical issues, bottlenecks and potential problems for timely action to achieve results.
  • Research and report on best and cutting-edge practices for development planning of knowledge products and systems.

    Job Title: Monitory & Evaluation (M&E) Officer Location: Damboa, Borno Duration: 7 months Role Purpose
  • The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer will be responsible for the design, coordination and implementation of the monitoring and evaluation, research, and learning framework of the Project.
  • He/she will develop a systematic monitoring framework to improve the qualitative and quantitative evidence gathered by the Project.
  • He/she will also provide technical assistance to the implementing agencies, particularly in relation to monitoring, reporting and governance issues.
Key Responsibilities
  • Collects information from case workers
  • Responsible for data entry and data verification
  • Review of project delivery
  • Support project progress reporting, project mid-term review and final evaluation.
  • Identify areas where technical support to project partners is required. Organize refresher training on M&E for partners as required.
  • Identify lessons learned and develop case studies to capture qualitative outputs of the project. Provide advice to the supervisor on improving project performance using M&E findings.
  • Field spot checks to confirm data accuracy
  • Technical support on accurate data collection
  • Monthly data report
  • Develop baseline data for each project component and for all project indicators.
Key Competencies Required
  • Education: B.Sc/HND or Diploma in Statistics, Demographics, International Development, Economics, or related field. Advanced certificate in M&E, statistics or economics preferred.
  • Experience in planning and managing surveys.
  • Experience in developing and refining data collection tools.
  • Experience with data quality assessments and oversight.
  • Experience in managing and providing training to partners and target beneficiaries.
  • Ability to facilitate and serve as project liaison for externally-managed evaluations.
  • At least 1-year experience.
  • Personal qualities: Team player, flexible, network-builder, able to handle pressure well.
  • Fluency in English required and in Hausa preferred.
  • Bura Language is an added advantage.
