  • The SSA IGNITE Graduate Internship Program is designed to give recent college/university graduates challenging work assignments, developmental feedback, and exposure to leadership.
  • Spanning a duration of 12 months only, the program combines hands-on experience with formal performance feedback to help participants transition from a collegial environment to the workplace.
Essential Responsibilities The Commercial Ops Intern will be responsible for:
  • Training in commercial accountability o Deal machine training - correct usage of DM - express path vs non -express, relevant documentation uploaded to DM, etc.o Deal machine management to support data accuracy (Tableau) o Tableau training – for reportingo Follow critical process steps - RFQ/quote/PO review and approvals, ITO/OTR handover, BOX updates, etc.
  • Prepare simple operational quotes for spares and repairs
  • Prepare commercial proposals - review technical specifications, work closely with Engineering, Sales, Operations, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with contract commitments, support discussions with customers - coordinating with other functions as required
  • Support handover meetings with Project Management and execution
  • Manage customer commercial tracker in conjunction with OTR

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Recent college/university graduate with no more than 1-1.5 years’ work experience /or with national service discharge (if applicable)
  • Authorized to work in country full-time and without restriction
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Must have an advanced to fluent level of English

  • The Lead Field Service Engineer provides offshore and onshore support to customers and BHGE for installation, maintenance, repair, operation and decommissioning of Subsea equipment and services.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Perform on-site installation and decommissioning of BHGE systems and equipment
  • Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation and decommissioning at customer's sites
  • Develop and further expand technical knowledge and expertise, currently recognized industry standards for engineering ability
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable BHGE product lines
  • Plan, prepare and/or instruct both internal and external training programs as required, to impart and perpetuate field engineering and/or product knowledge in area of specialization
  • Perform administrative functions; such as writing technical reports, ordering materials, securing quotations, preparing job status reports, reports to customers, time sheet and expense sheets on a complete timely, and thorough basis
  • Ability to write and submit incident report within 24hrs of occurrence.
  • Maintain knowledge of company reporting systems and policies.
  • Provide leadership and technical direction to customers and team members
  • Maintain strong safety mindset to ensure the executed work reflects the technical requirements within BHGE safety standards
  • Ability to troubleshoot and react to fault resolution challenges
  • Must be able to track and renew all offshore documentation
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
  • Experience in a Subsea Field Services Engineer role – specifically Controls, Completions and/or Wellhead (MS 700, MS 800, & SG-5).
  • Wellhead experiences is mandatory.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 100% of the time at short notice - this is an ad hoc role and flexibility is essential.
  • Must have a valid international passport
  • Must be medically fit to work In Offshore location per BHGE Policy.
  • A valid NYSC discharge or exemption certificate will be required (please indicate clearly on your resume)

  • The Engineering Manager –SSA Region is responsible for leading the Service Engineering department in the Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) region.
  • The Engineering Manager is responsible for the execution of the regional service operations and growth plan as well as HSE excellence. Integrates and develops processes that meet business needs across the organization.
  • This position reports functionally to the Global Engineering Manager of Subsea Services.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Provide operational and strategic leadership to balance between short and long-term deliveries in line with budget and strategic commitments.
  • Identify and implement key synergies to improve overall efficiency and execution.
  • Liaise with customers either on or off site across the region as necessary to drive work into the company.
  • Ability to offer solution based technical offerings for the Subsea product line (Trees, CWOR, Landing Strings, etc.)
  • Execute operation commitments and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Provide support to Bid Management to ensure executable bids are proposed.
  • Overall recruitment, resource and capacity management and planning for the department.
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPI) management and monitoring.
  • Management for all direct reporting positions.
  • Training and capacity development for the region’s engineering function.
  • Oversee design processes and quality within the department.
  • Develop and improve the department’s business processes.
  • Drive Services Engineering team competence development.
  • Ensure effective communication within the department including stakeholders in the SSA Region and overall Services Organisation, Customer and Global Engineering Organisations
  • Considered to be a business partner and is involved in long-term planning.
  • This role contributes to the overall strategy and manages complex issues within functional areas of expertise.
  • This position reports functionally to the Global Engineering Manager for Subsea Services and operationally to the SSA Regional Subsea Services Leader.
  • Superior responsibility for all engineering activities for the Services business in the SSA Region.
  • Provide engineering leadership with clear technical accountability.
